Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, we signed the papers tonight.. The house is for Sale.. The sign goes up in the morning..We have spent the last year clearing out from top to bottom... We wanted to be set to move out quickly.. so we have everything packed up and in storage that we are not using... We only have clothes in one half of a closet and half of our dresser drawers are empty... I am down to 2 pots and 2 pans in the kitchen .. don't ask me to bake you a cake on your birthday my mixer is packed away... We want to be able to pack up and be out of this house at a moments notice.. but now we have to wait and see if this year of painting and cleaning pays off... The house has never looked this good in 30 years... My grandson tells us it does not look like a real house anymore...to him a real house has cookie mix on the counter and puzzles spread out all over the dinning room table.. not to mention 3 pairs of shoes at the door and 2 jackets hanging on the dinning room chairs... Time will tell.. patti
Keeping our fingers crossed that things will go swiftly for you.

ours too is for sale but we did not pack up everything as we don't know when it will sell... when it does we will live in an apartment or a rig (if we buy one by then) till march when we retire...
Best of Luck to you too on selling the house. Things are moving in our area but the realtor said the offers have been low balled... We have made no plans past selling the house . We could be in apartment for 6 months to a year before we get on the road.. We are not retirement age for another 5 years...So we need the money from the sale of the house...patti
We sold our house a little over a year ago.Moving to an apartment I think is a good move we did that for a year. Purging everything you don't need takes time and effort but taking the step down to the apartment gave us a chance to do it in stages. I know many people go right to their rv but that would have been overwhelming for me. We now are in our 5th wheel full time, retirement is this Friday for my husband (I was doneAugust 11) and next week its off on a new adventure. Good luck with the sale of the house and all that it entails.
