Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Spent 2 and a half hours with the dealer rep going over everything, then spent another 2 hours by ourselves going over things.
Opened every door and drawer, turned on and off every light, ran the AC then the furnance, opened the kitchen and bathroom faucets, checked under the sinks for any drain leakage, flushed the commode, lit the stove, check the tv, stereo and other electronics, checked the compartments, tires, checked the roof, and asked a ton of questions.
Did not sign on the dotted line. Scratch on the fireplace glass, kitchen slide-out not flush with one of the walls and living room slide-out just a bit off. We will put the slides in and out several times to make sure they are lining up properly on the next PDI.
We did notice bubbles in the roof membrane but the dealer rep said it was normal (as per the Keystone manual), they were just bubbles ... nothing extraneous underneath them. We are not sure if this is cause for concern.
Will go back in a couple of days and do another PDI with the same fine tooth comb.
We are getting closer.

When we got our 3455 there were a few minor issues. Did you check the doorknob going into the bedroom? Ours was installed backwards. It locked from the OUTSIDE. With talking to others online, this seemed to be a common occurence.

No we didn't ... but it's on the list now!

No worry on the bubbles on the roof. Our Cedar Creek has them and after two years no problems. I just monitor them to make sure they don't increase in size.

Thanks Racerguy. Wasn't sure if that should be a concern. We will keep an extra eye on the bubbles.

WOW! I am impressed Paul and Jo. Either you've done this before or you've taken some serious notes here. I bet the dealer rep makes sure everything is fixed when you go back for round two. Letting the dealer know how thorough you are should get his attention that if something is not fixed, you will be back. With a vengence. Bravo!!

Thank you for the compliment, but the"Thank You"also goes out to all here who have shared their experiences and lessons. We have never done this before, in fact never even been in an RV before we started looking at them a few months ago. The knowledge and information on this site is wonderful! Jo
