Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I was just wondering if anyone had any feedback on the Tire Minder model TMG-400C tire pressure monitoring system. It looks like it has all the bells and whistals that some of the higher priced systems have but is about $100+ less and you can change the batteries yourself instead of sending the snsors b...
I have a 2009 tenth anniversary edition Montana 3605R. My fireplace does not work on high. It does fine with lights only and low heat but as soon as we attempt to go to high heat it cuts off the heat altogether with just lights. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it? Thanks, Judy
OK all you first adopters I have a comparison question on cell devices. I am trying to make a decision between a Droid, Palm, or Blackberry. I understand that the Droid far surpasses the other two with respect to apps. My need is simple. No social networking, but a Wi-Fi hotspot, talking GPS, and maybe...
Yesterday, Verizon had their official press release and announced the first 38 markets that will have 4G available by the end of 2010. Rumors indicate a mid Novemeber launch but that might not be concrete. This service should be the answer to travlers that demand more bandwidth than 3G is capable of....
We now have two possible offers of jobs to think about. May have to make a decision as of tomorrow. One in Indiana and one in California. I had used guidance and suggestions here, changed a few things in our resumes and Viola! Will keep you all apprised and by the way...many thanks for all the input.
Here goes….I have been lurking and drooling long enough. I took a leap of faith and signed up for the Spring 2011 rally and thought I better introduce myself. If everything works out the rally will be my maiden voyage and I will be traveling from Texas which is my home base. Since I have family in Knoxvill...
I just joined this group and at the moment I am at work pretending to work!!! I know nobody has done that before. I just posted on the introduction page under leap of faith, Terry & Jo were my first responses so I feel official. I haven't purchased anything yet but I am planning to leave in the spring....
Just a mental meandering musing..the DW and I have found, so far, the mfg, model and everything else 5er we think would most suit our comfort and needs to join in the RV life style when that time comes. At this time, a question comes to mind about where to purchase our hearts desire. Since we probably won...
Just posted question that should have probably been in here instead of "campground questions" so.... Does anyone tow the F150, 5.4L, super cab, 4x4, 2005? If so, what do you tow? Bought the truck before rv subject came up. Don't really want to trade. Claudia
Hello. I am in the beginning stages of preparation to go full-time. I am planning to purchase a used Class C motorhome, as small as I can feel comfortable in with my two dogs. Today I looked at a 24' Winebago View. I would be very comfortable and happy in this vehicle as far as size, look and layout. I a...
I just replaced my Norcold 1200 with a Whirlpool residential refrigerator. I did the work myself and thought many of you might enjoy reading our Blog report on the replacement. See it here: http://www.wheresweaver.blogspot.com (see entry for Sept. 23) I'm doing the install in a couple of phases. T...

We Live in San Antonio, Windcrest area (NE San Antonio). There are a few nice RV parks in the area but obviously we don't stay at them. We do take the RV up to Canyon Lake and usually stay at Potter's Creek which is a Corps of Engineers park right on the lake. It is beautiful, clean, and has great facilities (...

I found a 1996 Bounder that is located near my home. I don't know the mileage yet, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this model of motorhome. The owner sent me pics and it looks to be well cared for. I will find out tomorrow mileage, if it has been kept inside and if maint. records are av...
Just saw a few older posts regarding rv'ing and travel nursing. This is what I want to do. I'm an OR nurse and hear jobs are very available. Looking into the workamper thing for my husband. We are nearing the end of our stay in the lovely Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg and have been looking for something around Crystal River or half way between St. Pete and St. George Island State Park in the Pan Handle. Every Florida state park I can find between those two spots does not have camping o...
Does anyone have the email addresses for Ron Fenech (CEO and President) and / or Bob Martin (CEO and Exec VP) for Keystone? And are these two still the ones at the top? The service tech that was out here and supposed to call me today - called in sick. I told the dealer I would, too, if I'd seen all that needs to...
Without winter jobs in line, we had decided to find a park in Bradenton and stay put for a few months, but had plans to head up through TN, NC and then on to Indy to stay with our grandson while his parents were in CA on business and then come back for Nov. and Dec. and stay for two month. How quickly things can...
I really got brave the other day and began sending emails and our resumes out. One place in particular really appealed to us, a KOA in Chattanooga, TN. I responsed to an ad they had for an open position and got a response within hours that they were considering our resume. Then I got the following a day o...
We hit a milestone yesterday when we pulled into Dead Horse Ranch State Park. It's our 300th campground since we began this journey in February 2006. I guess when we took the name Wandering Wishnies, we weren't kidding.
Maxine and I started Fultiming on Aug 1st and headed to South Dakota to get residency finished up.Then the plan was to drift slowly to Phoenix to spend Nov and Dec hiking and seeing Arizona with her sister. We are currently in Colorado Springs and had spent 2 weeks hiking and riding our motorcycle in th...
Hi Folks Anyone have any experience staying in National park campgrounds in FL and SC in the winter months if so were they filled up or easy to get into and what is the max stay time. Thanks
We will be starting to full time in the next couple of months. We will be travelling with a dog and three cats. They do not get along. Currently, cats (who are indoor/outdoor, with cat door in bedroom window) stay in the bedroom. Dog has the rest of the house. There were several good suggestions for...
Obviously, one of the heavier items to be carried, so what does everyone use? I saw a thread somewhere where silicone bakeware was recommended because it's so light, but I've never cooked with it.
We have an appointment tomorrow to sign papers for a 2006 Crossroads Paradise Pointe 5th Wheel 30RL. We plan to use it for weekend trips, vacations and to visit the grandchildren! It's 33 feet long and has many "extras"...mostly two big leather recliners!! Now, we if we just could find...

Hi, We left home with our B+ pulling trailer with bike in trailer. I drove the tag-a-long(Colorado) Found a DP yesterday and have to decide how to travel. The mh has a 10,000# hitch so shouldn't be a problem but we need to either put the bike in the pickup box (6') somehow or get a bike lift and tow the Col...
