Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
This our first and I wish our last winter here in the cold for the fifth wheel. Please, can you explain how to winterize it? I know we have to blow air and put some antifreeze but, I would LOVE details. This is our first time...
Traveling down to Pigeon Forge, TN and thought I would ask about the campgrounds. Chatted with a lady from Mill Creek Resort....very nice and loaded with information. I liked their monthly rate. If anyone has anymore idea's I would love to hear from you. We have a 40ft 5th wheel, so we NEED big rig f...
Should it be that anyone is looking at a used Ford truck for towing travel trailers or fifth wheels, there is an online source for brochures for the truck by each model year from 2002 'til 2010. Those brochures will give you some valuable information regarding towing weights. There are also some Ford...

Okay, not sure if this is the right place to post this but this is The burning question for me. How hard is it, really, to drive a Class C with a toad? I've driven an ambulance, but my biggest rig was considerably shorter than a MH w/tow vehicle. Tell me I can do it, lol.....I need to hear these words!
I thought I had posted this topic on the forums here, but I couldn't find anything about it with the search function. So, I'll put it out there in case any of you have the Xantrex SW3000 pure sine wave inverter. Apparently they have issued a safety recall on certain units. The link below will take you to...
We finally got to take our first trip after get everything sold and the trailer ready we thought we found a couple things we did not like so I am glad we went before heading south for the winter, But we are now officially FT. We found we did not have enough counter space and did not like the dining booth so I pu...
Has anyone stayed at this park? I can't find anything on RV Park Reviews about it. I would love to hear comments from someone who has stayed there or better yet, worked there.
Hi all, It looks like I'm going to be heading to my relative's house in Bullhead City, AZ for Thanksgiving. I have a question - I absolutely love to travel - you'll see that, if you take a look at my blog - and I haven't seen much of Arizona, so I thought I might fly into Phoenix, rent a car and drive to Bullhead...
This is a hobby and a business...one I hope to take on the road too! This is Adam. He's a reborn doll. I've been making them since 2002 and I'm totally addicted to this art form! You can read/see more at www.blessedbeginningsstudio.org.
While in the process of "digitizing" my LP records so I can put them onto CD's, I was listening to The Association Live album this morning. (Yeah, I know. Some of you are saying, "Who?") One line in one of their songs could almost be used as an RV'er's philosophy. From One Too M...
I'm wondering about this from a cost standpoint. I don't have exact figures since I haven't gotten that deeply into the research yet, but what are everyones's thoughts on fixing up and older RV vs. buying newer? Pro's, con's? Obviously, and older rig would cost us much less than a newer one and I enjoy f...
I have been following many RV blogs for a couple of years now. Those who are not yet full timers are generally refered to as "wannabes". I believe the appropriate term should be "gonnabe". That certainly sounds more positive than wannabes. Also wannabes sound to much like co...
Hey folks. We'll be hitting the road within a month and still have a long way to go. Been working on our 20' Prowler for a little bit now, and that's almost done. The next big step is buying our tow vehicle. We're going with an 8 cyl. van of some type. Not sure which make or model yet, but one of those that...
Hi folks. I'm so glad we found this site. Being a full-timer has been my dream since I was about twelve years old. My aunt had a Winnebago that we'd go on trips with her in. She also used it as a guest house when we'd all stay at her house. I remember thinking how awesome it would be to live in it, and only i...
Well folks, we got our tow vehicle and are almost ready to hit that road. To compliment our "lovely" green striped 20 ft. Prowler, we just purchased a smashing green and golden '94 Chevy Gladiator Conversion Van. The van is in amazing shape. It's got 106,000 on it, but it was maintained t...
I know Gene is.. .45 foot I believe. We're just curious... Wondering what your expereinces have been with parks. Where you generally travel etc.. As we're looking for our DP we're finding everything we can really see living in is 42 - 45 foot. We realize that a lot of state parks will be out of the que...
Could we make a list of the Dreamers who will be at Defeated COE in October?? and could we get another surprise visit from Howard and Linda? Don/Jenny - Oct 10,11, and 12
Hi folks, just a question: what's the rule on the length/content of our signatures? I ask because I already have links to my RV blog and Etsy store but I'd also like to add my doll studio. But I don't want to spam y'all to death, lol!
I'm going thru "stuff" & trying to get rid of things that I won't be taking on the road. I have quite a few craft supplies to get rid of. I'm wondering where might be the best place to sell them. I've never done an Ebay auction, but I'm thinking perhaps I should try that. Are there any oth...
As we're getting ready to make our first trip with the DP pulling a 22' motorcycle trailer I've got a question regarding the type hitch I should purchase. I'm going to need a hitch with a 4" drop to keep the trailer level as we drive. Once we reach our destination, dump the air and set the jacks the DP w...
Hi. I've gotten such great replies from you folks, so am asking this question to try out the 'snowbird' route first to see how we'll like this rv'ing thing. Would love to rent a big camper or rv for a few months to see how we would adapt and to get the feel of it. Are there states, areas and parks/campgrounds...
I am trying to gauge the average hookup fees for full hookup. When I visit campground websites I am seeing rates averaging $30/night. That is about $10k per year. However, it seems most people claim much lower annual campground fees. What are you averaging for a year? Am I going to be at a disadvantage b...
