Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Claudia, just clarifying... Are you wanting to tow the F150 behind the RV? If so it might work best to post in the "Toad" category.
Afraid I can't help answer your question. We're just beginning to research towing our Avalanche. The "Toad" category is where I look for help.
If you are wanting to tow your camper with the F150 you might try posting in the "Tow Vehicle" area. I don't know much about the F150, but I suspect it can only tow a very light trailer. It would be similar to my Avalance and it's not capable of towing much!

Based on the "almost" identical posing in the campgrounds catetory, it appears that you are wanting to tow WITH the Ford F150.
For your benefit, there is a thread in the "Tow Vehicle" category where I posted a link to an online source for Ford brochures. I think the 2005 model is one of those that are available.
You can check the brochures at that source to see what your F150 will tow, based on how it is equipped.
Here is a link to that thread in the Tow Vehicle category. You can then find the link there to the online source.
Claudia, with out looking closer at the situation--in general you should be able to tow (if that is what you are asking) a newer model (light weight) mid size travel trailer, 25 to 27 foot or so. Just guessing but your tow weight is probably around 8,000 lb. With a newer light weight trailer in the range of 5,000 lb empty weight and with 1,000 to 1,500 lb of stuff in it you should be ok. My friend tows a Jayco Jay Feather light--(I'm not sure of the model number) but it's right at 26 foot and he has no problems. I say newer model only because of newer lighter construction methods--such as aluminum structure instead of the older method of wood. In an older model, because of weight you may have to go to a shorter length. Of course you need to run the numbers to make sure your truck will handle what ever trailer you find. Keep in mind a salesman will tell you "sure your truck can handle this trailer" just to make the sale. Be sure and check it out yourself so you know what your weight limit is prior to looking at trailers. Its all about the weight, but it is easily do-able.

Claudia, All of the comments to your post are valid. I simply want to stress the importance of doing the numbers yourself, rather than listening to RV dealers, etc, when it comes to this catagory. Since we needed a new truck, we decided to buy the truck first, and so, bought more than we currently need,a 2010 F-250 DSL,in anticipation of fulltiming later with a much heavier unit. As an example, we currently have a 23'TT, with one slide, which weighs 4800 lbs dry,and can take another 2300 lbs of load. It is a new aluminum framed unit.No problem for the DSL, but would probably be just about right for the F-150. I've seen people tow much larger, heavier units with the truck you have, but remember, it is about stopping and handling ability as well as pulling power. On a cross country trip this summer, we encountered a few situations where I wouldn't have wanted to be under powered,or under braked.
