Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are in the process of preparing our house for sale, hope to start full timimg this spring. Our delima do we buy a new trailor or a used. My argument is that we dont want to need to pay for repairs on a tight budget. But there is a big difference in price and but we get what we want with all the bells and whis...
Although Jo Ann and I are still a few (<5) years away from retirement, we're trying to learn all we can about full-timing. To that end we bought our mpg as a "learning" rv. We both liked the Bighorns we saw, so we decided to go with an inexpensive Heartland product that our Mercury could tow...
Do any of you have prescriptions that you have to refill monthly in order to get your insurance to pay for them? Blood Pressure meds or cholesterol or??????????? If so, how do you do it when one month you are in Tennessee and the next in Texas? Does Walgreens or Walmart or any other pharmacy have a nat...
Has anyone ever stayed at Loft Mountain campground in Shenandoah National Park? It gets good reviews. We are trying to plan a trip in the Summer and thought I would see if anyone here has stayed there. Walt
I'll introduce myself as well. I'm Jo Ann. As David said, we are about 4 years out from retirement. We did own a Mini Winnie several years ago. Had a great time taking our three children on a couple of big trips in that. They are grown, out of college, and the Mini Winnie bit the dust. Since then we have tent-...

We intend to replace this unit with a newer 33' to 35' class A and want to tow a vehicle. Our gas unit seems to be a little under powered in the mountains. Can you give us advice on advantag...
Even tho we will not be on the road until March 21st, we have started our blog. We really don't know what we're doing and we're learning as we go. For anyone who would like to see it, the address is rvpilgrims.blogspot.com. Anny comments would be greatly appreciated. Judy (&Bob)
I'm hoping to FT in 5 yrs. Was just wondering where to store 2 bikes. Do they fit inside the storage area? (I say 2 bikes because my daughter says she's coming with me). Jean
Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself and finally come out of the closet. I’ve been lurking for several months and have really enjoyed reading the stories and learning from the vast experience of everyone on this forum. From Howard and Linda to Terry and Jo to Fred, Racerguy, Bubba Dan, TxYel...
Is there, on the market one that is suitable for use in a TT? We just purchased an EVERGREEN 31RLS TT that has two lounge chairs and I thought that a stable table/stand could accomodate my laptop and possibly the printer underneath. CCC
Hi everyone--we just started our blog and are starting to get more comfortable with it. Looking to share our thoughts and plans. Thanks http://celebratinglifedaily.blogspot.com
I had cabin fever so bad, the temps was in the high 60s, so I went and got the trailer from its winter home, cleaned it inside from top to bottom, flushed the fresh water tank and lines with the bleach and water got it ready to go just as soon as the weather gets right. My youngest grandson Brady who is 5 was her...
After a very rainy winter, we are washing and waxing our coach this weekend. Any tips for getting rid of the water stains on the windows/windshied (from water running off of the roof)? Any tips overall?
I really enjoy reading about all the camping adventures. I was wondering if anyone could help us find a campground for our pop-up near Zion. We will be going there this summer and will need electrical, showers and maybe a pool. We have spent time at Bryce and Grand Canyon but just past through Zion, so...
Here we go: Hubby had a GREAT IDEA (rolling my eyes) and said that he thinks we should put our little sofa in the back of our truck (covered shell on it but the idea is kind of hill-billyish, me thinks) and then strip the carpeted area (good idea) and put down nice floor covering to complement our wood kitc...
That is what Cinnamon was and will always be !!! Today is another sad day. We had to put our Cinnamon down this morning. She was 13 years old. I know that several of us have had to go through this recently. We woke this morning and she good not get up from her bed. DW sat with her for 20 minutes and then w...
Plan on going full time next year. We have decided to search for used Mobile Suite 36TKS or something similar. I am going to buy the tow vehicle first and have narrowed the choice down to a new 2011 dodge 3500 DRW 17" tires 4WD basic truck cloth seats or I have found a used 2008 one owner F450 DRW...

Sign up for their Advanced Plan, 20gb, and get a free Novatel U760 device. That saves basically $100.00 in your initial costs, and as Howard said in his recent daily blog article, this plan runs your usage thru Verizon.I've been looking for an on the r...
I'm willing to try to take care of anything I can . . . within my skill level - I learned by watching my Dad. He made it all look so easy. We've got some leaks in our camper - and because of the unusually wicked snow and cold we've had this winter . . . I don't know when and even if I can caulk around the windows....
I am getting into the need of a wider board for use under one side or our Mobile Suites on our RV pad. I currently have a 2X6 under it now, but I really need it to be wider so it is is easier to get "centered" on the board when I back up on it. The 2X6 us just barely wider than the tires. I had conside...
Hi, everyone! I’m going to classify myself as a Gonnabe full-timer. Just made the decision a month ago, thanks in part to this forum. I can’t begin to explain how many pieces of the puzzle have suddenly fallen in place, but the universe is definitely conspiring to allow me to explore my dreams of freedo...
This morning, I received a copy of the following email which is being passed around, so I thought I would address it here. "Will you ever sell your house? Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home etc. When did this happen? It's i...
Hello all, Walt and Kelly here. I have been lurking around for over a year and finally decided to join. We have been talking about workamping since 2008. I am 33 and Kelly is 41. We knew it would be a while before we would start our new life and get rid of the sticks and bricks but after I almost lost my job i...
We are looking into the possibilities of camping on some of the islands in the puget sound, but are concerned that the cost of getting our 40 foot diesel pusher and tow might be cost prohibitive. Any ballpark numbers as to what it might cost?
Since this is such a great group of people, I'm gong to take a chance on mentioning this and hope I won't get blasted for being too picky. I'm a former writing teacher so have a little pity on me. Anyway, for whatever reason, everytime I see it's (which only and always means it is) used as a possessive pr...
Just wanted to invite y'all to stop by and say hi if you are ever in Mid-Missouri. We are workampers at a small, private campground that sits right on the Missouri River. The Katy Trail runs right by us, too, so if you love to bike, the trail runs through some beautiful countryside. The campground off...
