Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have the Millenicom plan. I used Google and found the way to log in and look at my account and package but where the usage is supposed to be is blank. I also read they do not keep it updated. I did look at the settings and connection log, but somewhere else I read that that number is not always correct....
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has a 2004 Tiffin Phaeton that's 35 feet long? I'm told it's a diesel pusher and fairly easy to drive. The one we are going to look at has 15,000 miles on it. Any suggestions on what to look out for? We are hoping to live in it full time.We were hoping to find a smaller one but t...

Since I like fixing stuff that is broken and I have a pretty sense of how to do that, I thought about getting a certificate in RV Maintenance. I would not want to work at this. Something like a Rent A Hubby hobby business that could generate a little income. I realize that most RV parks probably restrict w...
Okay...generally I am told I am an excellent writer. It seems to be a gift for some. I used to write ad copy for realtors at our agencies and write ads for things that need selling (Craigslist Queen am I), and write letters, emails, blah, blah, blah, but somehow my resumes get either very little response...

Here is California gas and diesel prices have jumped nearly 30 cents a gallon. The price for diesel is up to $3.89 a gallon. If these prices continue to climb it will require decisions to be made about driving habits. We plan on migrating North to Oregon and Washington soon, but will move slower and s...
My wife and I are planning on going full-time, or mostly full-time after our son graduates from high school. He is 15, but there are some extenuating circumstances, so our plan is in 5-10 years. My big issue right now is that our house is a serious fixer-upper and is driving me bonkers. So I am tryi...
Guess I have been rather quiet on these boards lately. There has not been much to tell, as you know if you read my blog. However! We are sitting here in Gettysburg, PA, having spent the weekend exploring the National Military Park. Dave is a Civil War "buff" and has been soaking it all in, as...
I'm newly registered here and just posted my intro up top. Looking at 5ver THes as my main living unit from here on out and have been noticing a few standout comments as I look at previous posts. 1 - Why do people seem to dislike Thor products so much? Seems that they have taken over a chunk of the industry a...
Does anyone know where we might purchase a dryer vent kit for the Spendide 2100 XC Combo Washer Dryer. Also, a drain pan. Our W/D arrived this past Monday and is sitting outside with a tarp over the box because we can't get a dryer vent kit nor a drain pain for it. I'm about to go ballistic here. Can't beli...
I tried changing my header picture on my blog today, and it keeps coming up real small. I tried several different pictures including the original one, and all of them are very small. I did it the same way I always do, so I can't figure out what's wrong. I seem to recall someone else having a similar probl...

We are new to this forum and were wondering what the small price tag on the right hand side of the topic box means on our Introduction Post? Thanks, Nancy and Bill

In Melanie's (Melstar) post about the cleaning job on their fifth wheel being too much for her, it was mentioned that dryer sheets could be used for cleaning the outside of their fifth wheel. After it was brought up, I mentioned that there might be some negative aspects of using them, but I could only v...
We're hoping to spend a long weekend in the New Orleans area later this month. Does anyone have any rv park recommendations near by? After that we'll be traveling up toward Okla. City and will be looking for an overnight stop in Texas or western LA. Thanks for your help!
Took our girl to the vet yesterday and found out that she had a large tumor. She had started to lose weight the last month and hide at the back of the coach the last few days. She came out in the night last night and meowed with pain. We comforted her and said our good byes. Today we took her to the vet again...
My wife and I are looking to retire within the next year and plan to be part-timers in that we will travel about 8 months a year and be back at home the other 4. Our preference is for a 5th wheel though we've never owned one. We have owned a pop-up and several campers in the past and don't feel we would want to...
I have found my new favorite cooking pot.. I bought a Wolfgang Puck electric pressure cooker from HSN last month .. I am in love with it.. I have cooked some great meals in 30 minutes or less...This is going into the camper for sure. I made homemade chicken stock in 30 minutes.. I took part of that today and...
