Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are looking to spend a month or so in the northern/western part of New York State. Any campground info or sights not to miss would be appreciated. Thanks.
Janet and I celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary today (together for 30+ years). Thanks Janet, you're the best. I don't deserve you! Anyone else having an anniversary? Post it here when it happens and we will make this an on-going topic.
For those on Verizon: If you are a vet or active service, Verizon will give you a 15% discount. All I had to do was take a copy of my DD-214 to the local verizon store and discount was applied to account. Thanks Verizon
Jo and I have made another modification to our 2010 Mobile Suites 38TKSB3. Even though it is a new and expensive RV, some things just need to be improved upon. We replaced the plastic clothes hanger "rod" with something made of metal, thus we think it will be a stronger hanger than the orig...
In January we had to put my 15 year old Yorkie to "sleep". Now, our 13 year old Boxer, Coco, is acting very weird. She is breathing heavy when just walking across the room. I know that the life expentancy of Boxers is 10-11 years. She doesn't want to leave my side....looks a little disorie...
I coulda sworn there was a link somewhere on the site that I could use to get to Amazon.com and you'd get something, but I can't find it. I need to buy a monitor calibration tool and they sell them but I want to link there from here. Wherezitat?
I have only posted once before. Two yrs ago we were about to take delivery on a 24 ft. lightweight 5th wheel. I was terrified. You gave me the courage to give it a try. You were right. It wasn't bad - it was really kind of fun. After a few short trips, we traded our truck for a one ton dually and the 24 ft fo...
There was some recent discussion on magnetic mount antennas on the Escapees forum. I have had one for a couple of years I thought was outstanding. It is the same one I used in the Cyfre wired amp test. But how would this antenna perform when tested against a higher db gain (specification) antenna that wa...

As I shared in another topic. We have (I hope) had an unbelievable stroke of luck, in the sale of our home & possessions.Due to very poor market conditions,we were advised to list our home a year in advance of when we really wanted to be out of here. Houses here (Las Vegas) are taking a very long time to...

Hi All! Delaney here. I've been looking all around the RV sites searching for other artists and crafters who are RVers full or parttime to network with. I've come across a few folks who make and sell things and would love to hear from them to network for sharing stories and ideas. My daughter, Skye and...

Over our morning coffee today, we had an interesting question arise. In the Eurovan, we can stretch the 12 gallons of water over 3-4 days if we are frugal. This allows 1 gallon per day per person for drinking, coffee water, plus dog water, face washing and limited dish washing. If we have to stretch...

Big rain storms lately so I run successfully two small dehumidifiers from Eva Dry (Googled it and found them in Tampa). I now am wondering if dehumidifiers dry out the wood in the coach and if I need to use any polish on the wood. What do you all use on the oak or maple or whatever wood is inside your coaches?...

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting service on our Class A 2004 Winnebago Brave's jacks in Flagstaff Arizona? We have been having trouble for a while getting our right front jack to retract although it can be "persuaded" USUALLY. But now all of a sudden the left rear won't c...
I'm looking for our FT 5th wheel, & I've found a used 5er that has an Advantium convection/microwave, no propane oven. I know virtually nothing about convection ovens. From what I've read so far, it sounds like you can't use a convection oven for toasting. In our house, I have a toaster oven tha...
I just experimented with making a french onion soup. It turned out to be a cross between a BP oil slick and swap water. Does anyone have a recipe that produces a spicy taste, but yet retains the traditon of the soup?
My DW just got a Jury Summons in the mail from our County of residence. Does anyone have knowledge on how to deal with these when you are full timers? Do you still HAVE to appear on the assigned date or is there a loop-hole for getting an exemption. Thanks for any insight.
Hey Howard, I noticed that the nifty little "Preview" on each topic has disappeared - did you make it go away?? I liked it because I didn't have to actually go into a topic to see if I wanted to read all the threads. Roberta (who really loves this forum)
