Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Service recommendations in Flagstaff

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting service on our Class A 2004 Winnebago Brave's jacks in Flagstaff Arizona?

We have been having trouble for a while getting our right front jack to retract although it can be "persuaded" USUALLY.   But now all of a sudden the left rear won't come down at all and it will not be persuaded.

We are leaving the Grand Canyon on Thursday and would like to get this looked at but are concerned about just googling RV service in Flagstaff which appears to be the closest city of any size.

Hope someone has some advice/experience  about what might the problem with the jacks and/or where to get good service.  We are open to shops or mobile techs or other ideas if anyone has a recommendation.

Many thanks,
Sherry

If you know who made your jacks, try to contact the mfg. You should be able to get in touch with them either on-line or by phone.

More than likely they'll have a list of "authorized" repair shops for their product in that area.

Otherwise follow GENECOP's recommendation.

Hi Sherry:

There is (was last fall) a Camping World on I-40 going from the GC south side toward Flagstaff.  9147 W Route 66 • Flagstaff  • (928) 226-2864.  It is just a little bit west of the I-17 junction / turn off from I-40 you take for the trip down (and I do mean down) to Flagstaff.

I’m not recommending one way or another. But it is on your way, right off  the interstate, and you could at least let them take a look if you’re comfortable with CW.

Safe trip

Many thanks to all of you for replying and offering advice.

We're in Kanab UT right now with Zion NP and Bryce NP in our futures.  We're using the car jack to stabalize for the one that won't come down until we get near
to Salt Lake where we hope to get some service.   Thanks Gene for the link.  It was VERY HELPFUL!!

Anyone have any comments about the car jack idea??

We've not had good experience with Camping World for service so we feel like the recommendations on rv service reviews will get us better, less expensive and more reliable work.

Thanks again to you all.

Sherry

Forgot to mention that we did call the jack manufacturer and are playing phone tag with one of their technicians so we hope to know more if we ever get to talk in person.
