Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Another RV Modification Made

Jo and I have made another modification to our 2010 Mobile Suites 38TKSB3.  Even though it is a new and expensive RV, some things just need to be improved upon.  We replaced the plastic clothes hanger "rod" with something made of metal, thus we think it will be a stronger hanger than the original.

Rather than describe it all here, especially since there are several pictures, I posted the methods and things we used on my blog.  You can view it all at this link:

It is good to fix these things as you find them. In our old RV they used a bent piece of sheet metal with holes in to fit the clothes hangers in. I got to fix that in a small town with the only hardware store being Wal-Mart when the whole thing came down due to a lack of screws holding it in the ceiling. We have a real rod in our current RV.

Terry - if you keep making improvements, you'll have to get a building permit!! :>) Looks like a job well done - nice presentation. I hope the assesors don't come around!

Richard,

That is one reason we sold the house and bought an RV.  If we don't like our neighbors....OR.....if an assessor gets anywhere near us, we just move on and don't give them time to mail us a bill.

(Just in case someone is concerned that we are trying to dodge paying our taxes, I am kidding.  However, Oklahoma doesn't assess RV's like some other states do.)
