Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, you never know what life is going to throw at you. We became fulltimers the end of March. We traveled from Florida to Louisiana, to Missouri, to New England where we spent nearly 3 months. Love living in the RV! From there we took 2-1/2 weeks traveling across the continent to our son in British...
I have been pulling my new 43'er for about 5 weeks now and you would not believe the amount of Jerking a/k/a "chucking" or "bucking" I experience! It is so bad sometimes it feels like the pinbox is going to come through the rear window. I can't figure what is causing it. I have a Trai...

Does anyone know why or why I shouldn't put a residential toilet in my RV. Weight is no issue, as I pull with a F350 dulley. I just don't like the RV toilets, and for the life of me I see no reason why I can't put a space saving and water saver one in. The one I am looking at flushes with just .08 gallons and 1.6 gal...
I know that most swear by their dual pane windows. My question is for those who have a fifth wheel with the dual pane and have had it for 2 or 3 years or longer. Have any of you experienced having the seal break and gotten moisture between the panes? If you have, did you have it fixed and about how much did i...

This version should add some more stability to the Verizon 4G modems! More info here - Cradlepoint Firmware 1.9.0 Available for Legacy Ubicom R...
Now we're officially homeless, or should I say houseless?! Turned the house keys over to the new owners of our home last night. It feels kinds weird, but I know I'll get used to it. I'm still trying to figure out where to put everything in the RV, but at least I know where my soap, shampoo & deodoran...
We made the full time conversion as of 2 days ago....and we did it in about 8 months with a lot of help from this site. After attending an RV show in Indianapolis in February of 2011, we both developed the sense that we would love to try living full-time in a 5th wheel while traveling throughout North Ameri...
Our main struggle with going full time is for Bob giving up the garage and tools. He likes to have a place to go tinker, and also wants some place that he can work on and clean the coach. Have any of you full timers struggled with this and if so do you have any suggestions? I like the idea of freedom and don'...

We are about to make a decision on a DRV Moblie Suite 36RSSB3. We found that we really like the new bedroom walk-in closet with two doors and the dresser in left side. Cedar lined shoe boxes on front wall. We went to suiteowners.com forum and found that some of the owners toured the factory and was told tha...
Found this site and had to join. My husband and I moved into a 30' 5th wheel in July 2011. Right now we aren't traveling, but living in an RV park. We purchased and lost a business all in a year, and everything else we owned within the next year, so don't have the funds to travel at this time. (That will...
Okay Speedhitch "Et Al", Read the threads on W/D combos and I get the gist that Kenmore or Splendide seem to be preferred. As I understand, 110v/120v will take a lifetime to dry. Went to Sears website and looked at the Stacker units and they are saying 220/240v. What did the Kenmore buyer...
Hi, my name is Jane, and I recently bought a 2012 Springdale 257 RLLS . We purchased our '99 Georgie Boy motor home used so some of the the books that came with it are missing. We have found what appears to be a dry sink under the entry step. There is no water source but it does have a drain that emptys directly under the sink. What is this for? Anybody ever heard of this?
We will be going to our daughter's in VA the first week of Nov. We're leaving MO and traveling East. I know West Virginia is mostly all mountains. We'll be going on I-64. Greetings to one and all. I guess we, myself Alan, and my GF of 13 years Carol, just wanted to introduce ourselves to this community. We could be classified as possible gonnabees if things work out ok. Our only attempt at RVing was a 26' Class C we rented last Christmas, and traveled from CT to SC. If I wa...
Still looking at buying a RV and swinging between a Class C and a 5th Wheeler. To complicate the mix we are considering giving into our kids begging for a dog and so I have been interested in reading posts about members' experiences with dogs and cats (we already have a cat). The latest flavor of the mon...
Am I losing my mind, which is entirely possible, or did I read that hairspray should not be used inside your rv? I don't even remember what the reasoning would be.

We have all seen interesting RV's over the years, on the rare occasion something comes along that is new to me. This trailer is called The Ice House, it is designed for four season use, most interestingly it has numerous hatches in the floor that open and provide access for ICE FISHING. I am not sure how I...
We are about 3 years away from our fulltiming dream but could potentially have a unique opportunity to move it forward. My company is asking me to relocate to El Segundo and I was hoping to find a nice safe campground where we could live in our 5th wheel while we are waiting for retirement. Internet res...
