Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I'm happy to report that I've finally got a direct comparison of the WAW (WiFi as WAN) feature on all the entry level models! I figured this information may be useful if you're on the fence about any new purchases and which model would work best for the WAW feature. You can read my full review here - WiFi as...
We are scheduled to do our first Workamping Camp Host job at St. Croix Haven campground starting in June 2012. Has anyone worked or stayed there? It looks really nice, but would love some personal input. So far, our contact with the managers has been very positve. They seem extremely nice.
Doing research and one thing that my DW and I like is the idea of a toy hauler, not to haul anything big, but as an optional separate room for computer work or hobbies (I guess that’s why we have stayed together for 30+ years so far. We’re never in the same room at the same time). Most toy haulers I have s...

Is there any way to dump a back or gray tank into a residential sewer line? We are going to stay in my son's back yard (in town) and a long trip to the closest rv dump.

Hello We are looking to purchase a used Class A RV. We are looking to transition to full timers and we have heard that not all RVs are rated for full time use. Can anyone point us to a resource we can use to search for full time rated RVs? Thanks in advance. :) Helen & Ray
First sorry for the long post but .... Back in early 2005 we started dreaming of living and traveling in our RV. I stumbled on several blogs written by full timers and the seed was sewn. One of those blogs was from a young couple similier to ourselves who were preparing for their entrance into the full tim...
Looking for ideas or any suggestions you may have. We are camping near Colonial Beach, Virginia and our Ford truck quit running on Monday. The truck was towed to and has been at a Ford Dealer ( there are no private diesel shops in the area ) since Monday afternoon. Yesterday they promised to have a...
I have heard that Country Coach, Alpine and Western are now all out of the business. The question is, should a person avoid a brand which no longer has a manufacturer in business? What about warrenty work or O.E.M. parts?
Does anyone have one and recieved a letter asking them to attend an information seminar to "clarify the facts" about the sale to ELS. We have a membership to Out Door World which was bought by Thousand Trails several years ago.. I am just thinking this is a Sales meeting trying to get us to up...
Has anyone replaced their water pump with one of the quite ones. Are they as quite as they claim? I also notice most have a higher flow rate, any pros or cons to this?
How/why would the decision on which tow truck to use be so hard to make? We are pretty much settled on the fifth wheel we prefer and that being a Cameo 37KS3. We may have to adjust that some if we can find a super clean used unit but this is our target. I have owned trucks my whole life and have had a few Ford an...
If anyone likes jalapeno poppers, I accidently found a way to get most of the hot out of the pepper. A month or so ago, I bought some and then had a senior moment forgetting that I had put them in the vegetable bin. A week later, when I got them out, I noticed that the the skin was wrinkled. I prepared them an...
OK ... second day in our 5th wheeler (see our signature for model) ... and we're trying to get a three bedroom house into a one bedroom RV. We're doing pretty good but, have a little problem that has come our way. The kitchen cabinets are big ... plenty of space ... but only have one shelf in a cabinet where t...
I am looking at enclosing the underside of our 5th wheel to keep the "Fury Kids" and other critters from getting under there. I am looking at using Lattace pannels and was wondering if anyone out there has done this. I am looking at doing this as a tempory messure while we are stationary for a l...
We were at our local RV suplier yesterday and I was cruisin thru the household stuff when I saw something new (for me anyway). It was a folding ironing board. I picked it up thinking that I had to have one when my son came up to me and said "Oh good, now you can iron my wrinkled clothes." It is rea...
I was so excited when I found this site about 6 weeks ago that I jumped right in and started asking a lot of questions. I guess it's time to introduce myself and say 'Hi'. I'm Kimbrell, sometimes Kim. I live in western NC with my husband, John, a mutt we call a Husky-Bull-Beagle and a young Border Collie....
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition....
My wife & I are preparing for the full-time lifestyle. We are researching all aspects to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible. We are looking at the various 5th wheel (our choice is an Elite Suites 38RESB3) & tow vehicles available and are making the mental preparations required...
First rain since we got our 2007 Alfa See Ya Founder. Had the slides in. After one day of rain we discovered the rug was very wet behind the pilot seat and along the wall twoards the front. We put out the slide and found the wetness extended about three fee along the edge towards the back of the coach. But...
