Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I'm back searching around again now that time is allowing it. We are down to 2 5th wheel models and I'm interested in some opinions on the R-values. Model #1--Forest River Wildcat--R10 in walls, R14 roof & floors Model #2--Northwoods Mfg Fox Mtn--R7 walls & floors, R18 in roof Which would be...
We have a 2004 Sunnybrook Titan. At the time we purchased it, and still, we thought it was a beautiful rig. Just curious though. I rarely see any mention of a Sunnybrook in any of the RV mags or on any RV shows, or even see any on the road. Where in the world are they and why are there no mention of them??
Does anyone know if camping world has the ability to weigh a vehicle wheel by wheel? I can't seem to find anyone that will all four corners in southern california. Any suggestions would be appreciated
We are wanna-be fulltimers & new to this site. We are thinking about sources of income. My thinking is that hubby will workcamp & I am trying to 'think outside the box' for what I can do. My hubby is multi-talented & all I have ever known is nursing - I am a RN. But I don't think I want a tradition...
I will be retiring in early 2012, and would like to set up a couple of workcamping jobs for next year, summer and winter, near family members. Is it too hot in the summer in the TX hill country? Thinking of AZ in the winter. It would be to suppliment Soc. Sec. . When should I start the search? Hope fully i...
Hello All Does anyone have any experience dealing with "RV's For Less" in Knoxville? Looking at their website they seem to have very good prices and I like the idea of dealing with a smaller, family run business. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hi Folks, We are about to leave for our first major trip - 3 months. This will be our first experience at paying a separate fee for electricity. My question is how to most efficiently heat water. Would it cost less to turn the electric water heater on in the morning for showers, then turn if off until ev...

We have a 1997 class A Ford 450 gas engine. We aren't getting very good gas mileage and when we get near empty the engine misses a lot. Probably a lot of gunk at the bottom of the tank, but we really don't want to spend money on having the tank flushed. Someone suggested we add a fuel additive to the gas to t...
Good Afternoon Everyone, We ust got back home after a weekend away in the coach and to our suprise our inverter was not showing AC in and we had no power to the TVs and a few outlets. We've got a Chevy Trailblazer that is rear wheel drive. We have to keep it because it's about paid for. Has to be either dollied rear wheels up - or modified for flat towing. I don't want to go the full car trailer route, and I've read that rear wheels up is a dangerous way to tow. We'll be towing with a '9...
Digiscrapping is my main hobby and perfect for the road since the only tools are my camera and my laptop. Any other scrappers (digi or other) out there?
We have been in our 5er now fulltime for 3 weeks. We got our 2 cats here but barely. Our big boy Marlin, 20 lbs, goes into the carrier kicking and screaming. His back legs go out and he is so strong and struggles so much he is hard to hold onto. We are taking our first trip with them next weekend and want this...

Heard on the news this morning that there was an earth quake in Oklahoma, and am wondering about our members who are in that area. Hope you all came through without harm to yourselves or your rigs. Take care, Pat and Charlie
I recently purchased a TPMS (pressure Pro) from Mike & Pat McFall to use on my motorhome and toad. In reading over the instuctions I noticed pressure pro recommends removing the wheel sensors monthly, if you have aluminum valve stems. My question to those in the know is do you remove the wheels sen...
Can anybody tell me where the roll over switch is the above vehicle? It was suggested that it was in passenger side kick panel. The finger hole is there but no switch. Some one suggested because it was a motor home chassis it was moved elsewhere. Any help would be greatlt appreciated.
I noticed today after I returned from a trip to Houston, that my tires are running very close together. They are inflated to 80psi as stated on the tag posted on my rig. The rear tire seems to be crowned like it is over inflated - more so than the front tire. The is the same on both sides. In the last photo you w...
It seems that someone else needed my camera more than I did when we moved in to our new (to us) 08 Select Suites 36RS3, so I took the plunge and bought a new one. here we are at our current home at Whitey's Fish Camp in Fleming Island, Orange Park, Florida.
It's a funky little place with interesting folks an...
We have been thinking about this fulltime rv lifestyle for a few months only and we pulled the trigger today. Our house is on that market and we are close to an offer so we went out today just to look AGAIN. Well we found a great deal on a 2011 Heartland Big Country and take delivery this week. The problem i...
Well we are officially fulltimers, just not on the road yet. We closed on our house on Tuesday and moved into our 38 ft Big Country 5er. It has been one of the most stressful things we have done but we are so excited to have it behind us. We put our house on the market August 1 and bought the 5er Sept 5. We put...
This will be our first ever winter in an RV. As many of you know, Jo and I are "static" full-timers here in the Oklahoma City area. As such, we have the luxury of making our hookups more permanent than traveling full-timers. What I need from everyone is an idea as to whether my thought proce...
We will be traveling to and staying at Hershey Park PA. We are looking for suggestions and ideas for things to do and places to visit while there. We will be there for eight days so we will have plenty of time. So we would appreciate all your suggestions.Mike & Anne
