Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Howdy all. I found the current topics of 5th wheel tires interesting and have a question. Is it generally recommended to replace the tires that come on a new 5th wheel with a better brand of tire, or put some miles on them first and take a chance that they'll last a bit before replacing? I would imagine it w...
Just joined the forum. Came across it while searching the net for info. Retired military turned entrepreneur wannabe. Just beginning to explore the possibility of RV ownership. Still following Dave Ramsey's debt snowball to eliminate as much debt as possible before retiring for good. Posting t...
Hello all, I'm Dave Gray and my wife is Amy. Without planning, we became full time RVers after our first 10 months on the road. After the first 10 months, we went back to my house in Lompoc, CA to empty it out and leased it last June 1st. The next day we got back on the road and headed toward Goshen, IN for the 2...
Why not get paid for doing something that you already do naturally...simply being nice to people? A great way to maintain relationships, on the road or not. Sending traditional greeting cards and gifts from your computer. You can even personalize them with your own photos. Great for marketing a...

As we were thinking about it and trying to figure how to do it we put a blog together. Don't know how everyone will like it, but it is our Travel Journal that we kept for over a year. As always we like to hear comments good or how to improve. This is our first attempt and will probably try to refine it. http:...
I know this subject has been beat to death but I thought I would bring it up again. I have a 40' diesel pusher, front tires were replace in 2010. The rear tires have a date code of 2004. Tread is good of course and the sidewalls appear to be in outstanding shape. Even using a magnifying glass I can see no crack...
BEING A NEWBIE INTO THE RV WORLD - HAVING ORDERED OUR NEXUS 31' CLASS C FOR DELIVERY MID MARCH, THE QUESTIION COMES UP - DO YOU FULL TIME FOLKS WHO TRAVEL ON A PREDETERMINED ROUTE RESERVE SPACE AT RV PARKS ALONG THE WAY? I just stumbled across this forum while searching for information. I was looking in to taking my family on the road. I have one child and wonder how families maintain a life on the road. Any pointers? -Rachel
Won't share all of our satellite tv stories but let's just say we are getting to know a little more each time we move. My question is: How do we find the channels that we have lost when we crossed the US? We are now in southern Arizona. We have reception that is 98% and channels that come in work great. ...
Our first week fulltime in the MH was busy. Lots of stuff to move in; some stuff to move out too. Tweaking the places we put stuff; adjusting pictures; etc. By Friday we felt we had a good start on getting things just the way we wanted them and we were looking forward to the weekend. Our one week anniversary...
After lurking around these forums for an embarrasingly long time, we've decided now is the time to introduce ourselves. We are Mark and Catherine, counting down the last 3.5 years until we can ditch the homestead and hit the open road. We have a 2011 Cameo that we've purchased for the adventure and are...
AT&T has made my life miserable once again. My DW went to the AT&T store a few weeks ago and pre-ordered the new iPhone 4S to replace her iPhone 4 that I will get to replace my lost iPhone 3G. Here's what set her off and now I'm living in a nightmare.... She pre-ordered which in my and her mind means s...
My old laptop crashed and burned the other day. As I was researching replacements, I realized that for what I do with a computer, the ipad2 was the best choice.
I've been dealing with Microsoft frustration for years and have been reluctant to tackle the entirely different apple os. Then it hit me.......
Thinking of purchasing the Kindle w/ 3g + wifi. DW may want one as well and was wondering of books can be shared between 2 Kindles? Can I buy one w/ the internet access built in and then the other less expensive one? or should I just pony up the $$ for both of the same model?
I'm a single, 40 year old male who lives with a 6 year old Siberian Husky named Dexter. I am fortunate enough to be retired (very early) from the federal government and I try to utilize my accounting degree from Virginia Tech (Class of 1994) to run a small accounting business. I just recently bought a 2...

I am just throwing this out to see if there is any interest...we have a Montana Mountaineer 2006 35 ft fiver that is just sitting on our property. Hello everyone and a big howdy from Texas! I am sure that many of you thought we fell off the earth, but as a matter of fact, after we moved to Ft. Hood, TX in the coach, sold all of our stuff, we found out that housing in the town we were staying (Lampasas) was nearly as cheap as renting an RV site. So... we purc...
Perhaps a silly question, but I found two different Web sites for "Passport America" http://www.passportamerica.com and http://www.passport-america.com with two different phone numbers, mailing addresses, etc. Basically the same info, just laid out differently on the site...
Like another poster on this site, I just returned from two weeks of business/vacation, which included two factory tours for American Coach/Fleetwood in Decatur, IN & Newmar in Nappannee, IN. In order to keep this concise, I'll simply give you my general takeaways: 1. On both tours it was ev...
