Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We had a wonderful dinner with Dale and Ruth, aka NWescapee, and Loretta and Bill. It's really nice to put faces with names and RV talk. We are hoping to head out full time next June and it was nice to ask more questions. We always pick up more useful bits of info! I also met up with Jane, aka Hina, and Tot...
Linda (my wife of 48 years) and I have been planning this for about 2 years now. As we are currently living in a 7200 sq ft log home on acerage/Minnesota, we thought it would take quite a while to sell the home, so we thought we would just wait until we had a solid offer to do much. Luckily however we needed a...
We are transitioning to full time and moved into a RV Park a week ago. Anyone looking for a place near Carthage, MO would be very pleased with Coach Light RV park. I have a CT. gun permit to carry and wonder if other full time RV travelers have any knowledge about driving through states that do not recognize the CT. permit. What protocol do you follow driving through those states? And with that question is there any history of RVs being violated, by not so honora...
We rented a 6' x 12' enclosed U-Haul trailer to use to haul the last of one of Jo's sister's belongings from Tulsa to her new home in Colorado Springs and have officially started our vacation that will last for just over 2 weeks. We have found the temperatures to be pretty darn "cool" up here a...

I had forgotten about this website until I was doing some research and came across it again: www.arfc.org/rvs I could not get it to copy and paste for some reason. I have a 2009 Dodge 3500 with a cummins turbo diesel in it. I am looking to improve mileage. The truck has plenty of power and everything, so I was wondering if anyone is using those engine tuners I see advertised in the magazines? And if so what are you using? I plan on adding a cold air intake also. Accordi...
Are there any solo female fifth wheelers out there? If so, what are your thoughts on this? I love the fifth wheels I've looked at but am intimidated by the size of them. Can you tell me of your experiences?
I at least have the video down in order to share more of our travels with RV folks. For newbies, I welcome you to my blog/web site that I started a couple of months ago. I am NOT a techy, so that is why it is a thrill for me to learn something like posting videos, LOL I add other's blog/web sites to my site, so let...

I know when Howard and I made the decision to go fulltime it kicked up all kinds of emotions. Our overall emotions were excitement and joy, but oh did the fear keep creeping in all the time. Everyday we found ourselves asking "What in the world are we doing?" "We must be crazy."
The...

OK, this might be a stupid question but.... If weigh stations are open on the highway, do we have to pull in to be weighed or is this just for 18 wheelers? Also, if it says to pull over for propane checks, I assume we do not have to correct? We are in a Diesel Pusher... Thanks for the advice.
Hello, I have posted before about my chronic health condition that was diagnosed after we made the decision to live a FT RV life. We don't want my condition to end our dream. I need to be prepared for possible medical care on the road and need to get IV infusions every 6 weeks. I want to have my medi...

I have a question about our leveling jacks. We haven't used our motorhome this season because we have been busy getting our house ready to sell. I do go over and start it and have taken on the road a few times to give it chance to exercise. This weekend I decided to put the leveling jacks down and the on light...
When you started out, how long did it take you to slow down and stay somewhere a week or so? When we start, hopefully next spring we want to head to AK. I thinking this would be more of a vacation like trip than wondering through the woods approach. Just curious.
Has anyone ever had their toilet bubble up when flushing? This happened for the first time yesterday. DH thinks it might be gas build up... Anyone else had this happen before? BTW, we emptied the tank today and it's gone...
Looks like we'll be traveling from Boise ID to the Bay area with about 3 days to complete the less than 700 mile drive.
