Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We have a little over a month until we begin our new full timing lifestyle. One of the things we have been reading about is the use of portable electric heaters instead of propane. We will be spending much of our time in Canada where we will no doubt need the heat. What should we be looking for in a portabl...
I'm looking for any Canadian Snowbirds or FT using satellite dish to obtain tv broadcasting when they are outside Canada. Since Dhaw Direct was the last to provide satellite tv service outside Canada. I would like to know from any user if they still have the service since the CRTC obliged the broa...
I did a search here and the last rating of this company was back in 2007. I wonder if anyone has any new experiences to report regarding buying a rig at Lazy Days in FL?
I gather the Mor/ryde IS suspension is highly recommended by knowledgeable types with high end rigs. Their reasons make perfect sense. My question would be, when would it be overkill to upfit a 5er not equipped or optionable with this suspension? I know for instance that DRV offers the option but...
What do full-timers do about summer holidays? It looks like we could be on the road full-time by the middle of May, and there is Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekend to deal with. I suppose we could make those travel weekends and Wallydock each night, but I'm not sure I'd like t...
I was watching the YouTube video on "The Reality of Full TIme RVing." That's what I need, the right mindset to do this full time. They were saying a lot of people think they're going on perpetual vacation. "And we're going to see all of the National Parks, then all the music festivals e...

Hi I have been in search of a motorhome for some time and it seems the diesel's in our price range are pretty beat up so far. I found a pretty good by on a 2006 Monaco lapalma 37.5' v-10 gas tripple slide. This seems a little long and heavy for a v-10 ford chassis. The owner says it is a 2006 and some of the p...

Hi All! So happy to have found RV-Dreams.com and now this Forum. I'm just learning, reading, and doing a lot of researching on the subject of living a full-time RV lifestyle. While I have figured out some of the common acronyms, there are still a lot being used that I don't know what they mean and it wo...
HI everyone my name is Roy Edwards. I am soon to be in the market for the whole set up so I can begin a life of fulltiming. I am a Army Combat Vet and and I am on a budget around 45,000 to 50,000 for the truck and 5th wheel. I know that will be tight so any advice would be great.
In another thread here recently, Lucky Mike made a reference to there being a "simple answer". Well, I thought, "Oh, yeah, simple answer, not." So, I thought, with the pearls of wisdom that Lucky Mike shares, maybe there is something to this. After a few days and continuin...
I am selling a gently used 5th wheel Copper Canyon - Model 314FWRLS. Features include 3 slides, extra large refrigerator, microwave, stove, upgraded corian countertop, and dinette table with chairs. Recently purchased to help a friend before the bank repossessed. Now I need a buyer. $27,787...

After two years of looking and planning, we finally got our PT retirement home on wheels! Lots to do and plan, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Planning to snowbird in Mission, TX. Any of you stay there? Looks like a blast in the 55+ RV communities!
My wife and myself really don't want to commit a month or a whole season to work camping. But we would like to maybe exchange some hours for cash or site discount. We would like to try this if we were to stay some where for a week or more. If anyone has tried this or has any other suggestions let us know? ...

Any one have good fix to help get rid of salt water.. what filters to buy our water softener does not seem to work to well either here in Yuma Co AZ. Den.
Well I did it and I'm happy, I had it inspected at an RV shop not far from where I bought it. They only found a few small things that needed to be fixed like the Smoke detector needing a new battery among a few others. It is a 1998 Fleetwood Flair 26ft with 19500 miles. I drove it home (170 miles) and it had lots o...
We just spent some time visiting the Tucson area and LOVED the campground in Kartchner Caverns State Park. 62 level sites (35ft - 60ft), several pull throughs, level, E/W, 30 & 50amp, dump station & showers. Very clean and fairly spaced out with vegetation/sm trees between sites and all t...
Hi all, The class A I just bought does not have a camera, so I have been looking on the net and there are so many units that are off brand. Does anyone have any personal recommendations for a camera and color LCD that they have had a good experience with? I only need one camera and I don't want wireless, and a s...
Here is what I think:I think 'all-of-you' will eventually want to settle-back-down to owning your own piece of property/home again someday.I did a huge amount of traveling when I was young.Over many years, I've lived full time in a 'converted-to-motorhome' school bus, 3 camper vans and a Tioga 21f...
Not sure this is the right area to post this but I think many have the concern about handling the RV set-up that they purchase on the road. I know that I must be able to handle it as well as my husband so I'm thinking small. I'm also thinking small because I read so many posts in other forums where people are...
We've been lurking on the RV-Dreams site for several months now and I guess it's time to join the fun. Meg and I are in the Wannbe/Gonnabe 5rs class, who are planning to make the move to fulltime later this year. We're retiring from our local school district in August and we're planning to put the &quo...
Hello, I'm a wannabe from Washington State. Real first name is Lynn. I love to hike, camp, bike, you name it as long as its outdoors. The only thing I don't know is RVs! So, I have a lot of learning. I'm turning 50 soon, so I want a 10 year plan, learn all I can, get a Newfoundland, sell the house, buy the rig,...
Hello all. I have been lurking on this forum for a while and finally decided to join. There is a lot of good information here and stuff I never thought of. We (wife Chris, two sons 5 and 10, and I) will be getting on the road this summer after school is out. Finally. We have been talking about it for a couple of...
