Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are not new to RVing as have had a few already, but we are moving up to a custom built Power House coach and plan on being on the road a LOT more frequently than in the past. We will be traveling with our animal family - a 3 year old English Lab, and 21 month old (148lb) Great Dane and our 29 year old African Gre...
Hi everyone, we are just starting our research. Two years left until the last kid is out of the house. Always wanted to travel but never did. Now we are in the position financially to take the leap. I will be spending hours on here I’m sure!
Hi there, my name is Megan. I joined to help me get some insight into the FT RV lifestyle as I plan to purchase one and live full-time stationary next year. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I'm single and about to leave active duty to attend grad school and love my already simple lifesty...
Here to learn as we are thinking about this life change in 2-3 years. want to soak up as much knowledge as possible to help us make the the decision. We are not old enough to retire (I am 49 yoa) yet so we will be working. So I may not post a lot yet but I will be digesting all that I can. Thanks.

I am just wondering where you would get your RV height checks. Do truck stops do this or what. I saw one video where the guy used a 2x4 and a level but it seems like that would be subject to some variation due to ground slope etc.
So we're signed up for the 2020 Spring rally and we are going to swing by MORryde to get the IS suspension upgrade on our new rig. From there, a 2 day move to the RV-D spring rally site. Any recommendations for a stop on the way near Lexington, KY.
In the planning stage for a trip to Alaska next summeR. I have two dogs, a JackRussel and a Lab, which are pretty well trained. they are always on leash when out side. My concerns are how will traveling with them restrict my adventure . They are ok to stay in the 5er for up to 4-6 hours. Have not tried more ti...

As can be seen by my signature information, it’s time for a new TV.I will likely be getting a new or late model used ¾-ton or maybe a SRW one-ton diesel truck.Since Toyota doesn’t make a ¾ ton diesel, I will be purchasing from one of the big three US manufacturers.I really don’t want to discuss ¾ versus...
We’re looking for a nice RV Park close to Harlingen, about an hour from South Padre Island for just over a month in December. Between $500-$700 USD would be right. Any suggestions?
Good Morning:My intent here is to spread the word about something I learned last week from my recent contact with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles concerning max weight ratings and driver testing. In Nevada, a tow vehicle and 5er combination weighing over 26,000 pounds Maximum Gross Combin...
After over two years of looking for our 5th wheel we have purchased a new Montana High Country 381th which we will pick up this Friday. I have strongly considered purchasing an extended service plan (some would call it an extended warranty). I have looked at 3 options and would be interested in ge...
I recently purchased a 2006 DRV Mobile Suites Model 36TK3 and can't get the system to siphon RV antifreeze. Has anyone else had problems winterizing their DRV Mobile Suites? I tried for hours yesterday & the pump will run but doesn't draw the antifreeze. Hoping someone can help with instruction...
Just picked up an 07 39ft travel trailer. My wife and I are doing some updates and renovations to it. We removed all the old carpet. Replaced it with some good vinyl wood planking. Painting ect. Mostly to get out the old smells(dont like the mothball smell) But hello ;)
I was excited to see that Linda and Howard have started this forum. I have tried to read all of the posts. I have over the past year read many RV forums. I will not mention the sites of these forums but will say that I have read the Big Name ones.
There are those very experienced RVers that have wonderful,g...
Moviing to a grass only rv park tommarrow. My rig weighs 23k, and the hydralic leveling pads seem small , next to the King air parked next to me right now.. Should I put something under the leveling pad? Or is it good enough ? Need to get it today, if I'm getting it. Thanks!
Curious what you all do for wireless when on the road with the rig. We both have laptops and will want to stream TV as well. There probably is already a thread on this so apologies in advance for redundancy.
I am new to this forum. I am looking for good advice on purchasing a nice 5th wheel for full time RV. We do have 2 old dogs we want to take with us. Big store RV dealers tell you they are all well built. Each dealership has their favorite seller, but we are looking for non dealer input. Folks that have lived in...

First of all, we have cancelled all plans of selling our Mobile Suites. In about three days, a mobile technician will by here to replace the axles on our unit. For those that may not have read about this, we had leaking bearings with the Never-Lube bearings on our 2010. While we have found that there a...
As most of you know my wife and I are getting ready to go full time in the next few months (anyone want to buy a house in Michigan?). One thing that crossed my mind yesterday when my son-in-law cut himself badly was what to carry in a first aid kit in the RV. One of the first things that came to mind in additio...
We're seriously considering downsizing our current 5th wheel to a smaller 5th wheel and have found one that meets much of our criteria, knowing we'll never find a perfect RV that gives us 100% of what we want. However, we are concerned with the one side of the RV is definitely going to be the "heavy side"...
The debate between a 5th wheel or a Class A has gone on for ever and will probably go on forever more but now that we have full-timed in 2 different Class A's for over 6 years and have now switched to a 5th wheel for the last 6 months we thought we would do a blog post on how we feel about he two. In case you are inte...
We will be using South Carolina for our domicile (initially) as we look forward to full timing next year. Can anyone suggest a mail forwarding service in SC that they have used with success? Thanks for any suggestions or comments, Nancy and Bill
We have a 365 LM and the curb side dining room slide creeps out about 2ins whilst on the road any one had this problem what is the fix. Den. -- Edited by Den-Bev on Thursday 26th of September 2019 03:50:31 PM
Most of us put a fair amount of thought into what it would take for us to become full-timers. We thought about what to do with all of our stuff, what sort of RV we needed, what sort of towed/tow vehicle we wanted, where we would go, and what we would do. For a lucky few, all has gone according to plan. For most o...
