Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I'll be setting up my Texas domicile next week at Livingston, Texas, the headquarters of Escapees. My motorcycle tag is due to be renewed in Kansas before the end of September. And I bought a used class C MH from Oregon which will have the same deadline here. My town has an exorbitant sales tax rate (g...
We had a Truma AquaGo installed in 2016. It does not have an interior control panel. We've never had it descaled - is descaling possible when you don't have the control panel? Also wondering if it's possible to have the control panel installed now?
Located in the Hudson Valley, New York. This 2014 Keystone Sprinter Travel Trailer was used for only one season and is super clean, in “like new” condition. Everything is well maintained and in good working order with features and amenities for everyone, and it sleeps up to 12 people! There is an e...
We have SBI as our mail service and 411 Walnut St is our address. When I went to change my address with the 2 credit cards we have, they insisted on a physical address. I could use SBI as our billing address, like when one has to put in zip code at a fuel pump. After a bit of discussion they said I could use a rela...
I had to trim a few tree branches from around my RV and decided to use the opportunity to take a look at the RV roof.I noticed areas on the roof that look like the outer skin is blistering. The skin (membrane) does not look cracked or otherwise compromised but I am concerned that with it not adhered to th...
Aloha All, I have been seeing an add for a RV Tech Course on Facebook lately (as I research Full Time RVing). It looks like a home course with videos and work books. It is advertised for about $400. Has anyone taken this and if so was it helpful to you. I usually do my own work on my house and cars right now and p...
We are considering selling our house and the majority of our possessions to start our full time RV lifestyle. Curious to hear from those that have done the same and how you sold most of your items? Piecemeal or through an estate sale company? Looks like they charge hefty commissions but if they can get m...
Aloha All, we are planning on going Full time in the next year or 2. I have decided on a used Class A Diesel with at least 1 slide and have heard Foretravel and Country Coach are pretty good, but would like to hear other opinions. Mahalo in advance.
OK everyone, here's the story. I'm new here. I'm going to retire in a couple of years and my wife and I are going to full time in an RV for the next ten years or so, or until I can't drive it any more. The question I have is, what should we buy? As I have a motorcycle I don't intend to give up and we need a toad I w...
I use a Blue Ox tow bar for hauling our toad. I'm curious if there's any maintenance that I need to do. I bought this towbar at 4wheelonline| towing parts two years ago.
We recently picked up our "new to us" travel trailer. We were taking it home from the dealer on a state highway and hit a section of road that was pretty rough and we were really bouncing a lot. After a number of miles we got out of the really rough part and the ride smoothed out but I am wondering if there is...
I recently saw that a poster doesn't like having a shower curtain in his RV. I assume he prefers a glass shower door. My view is the opposite. I like a curtain because I can take it down and launder it easily. I hate cleaning a glass enclosure - I have to stand in an enclosed space and spray the cleaner. ...
My hauler bed from Classy Chassis has a 60 gallon ATTA aux diesel tank and one of the locking gas caps has failed. There's no part number listed on it naturally…and Amazon shows a bunch of different part numbers. Does anybody know what the correct part number is to order a replacement? I've got email in t...
HELP! We have been at an RV park for 3 months. Preparing to leave and, of course, will not fire up. Turns over fine. Changed fuel filter (which was clogged and had algae). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello all, though not new to camping I am new to this forum. My wife and I have progressed through all the camping stages: Tent camping, popup, travel trailer and now 5th wheel. Our current RV is a 2003 Carriage Cameo F35ks3 that we bought a month ago. We got a very good deal on it and sold our 1994 Gulfstrea...
Last year, (Spring of 2018), Doug & Kristi purchased our beloved Keystone Cambridge fifth wheel and 2005 Ford F450 truck with the hauler bed. They are working toward full-timing, but now have decided to go with a shorter motorhome, so they have listed the fifth wheel and truck for sale here:200...

Stumbled onto this site while searching power draw for a CPAP while dry camping. I'm Bill, the missus is Terri. We've been the usual route: tents, popups, travel trailer and we've been our 2010 Montana 3400RL just over 3 years now. The goal is to switch to full timing but it seems something (or someone)...

Has anyone had success in JetPac usage in Canada? Crossed the border yesterday and since then no service. My regular phone has the Travel Plan for Canada but that isn't available for a 'non-voice' device. Other than using WiFi Ranger, is there a solution for service while here in Canada? This post is c...
This has been a great full timing coach for us for the last five years and would love to see it find a good home. Here are the details and if you have any questions, feel free to let me know! Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had power outages at three different campgrounds. The first outage lasted about 36 hours, while the other outages were much shorter. When the power went out (36 hours) we were without a generator for 18 hours. Once we got a generator, we ran it until the power cam...
I am considering using 2" furniture grade (UV protected, guaranteed for 15 years of direct sun exposure) structural plastic pipe to build a simple rack to mount my large solar panels right down the center of the RV, about 13" off the roof (to clear my ac ducts. I will still have 12ft clearance, BTW). The...
I realize that the answer to this question will be different for everyone but I'm going to ask anyway because inquiring minds want to know. I would like to know what others carry because most folks will likely be pretty close to each other I think which will give me a pretty good idea of what I will be carr...
