Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We (Chris and Jo-Ann) have just joined after plowing through some of the forums and learning so much! We have talked about RVing in retirement for the past 10 years or so. Each time we discuss it, we come up with a reason we can't...until this year. We are both retired, and fortunate enough to have myriad...
So, this may be a bit of a fluff topic -- but, nevertheless wanted to see where everyone is at on it -- What is your opinion/experience/personal possession with regard to personalized RV signs -- and by that I mean those signs that you sometimes see people posting outside their RVS once they have stoppe...
I plan going solo full-time after I sell my house. I cannot believe the things one has acquired in 30 yrs. I have a BT Cruiser calling my name (let's go already) can't wait. I'm glad I found RV-Dreams.com Joyce

We found a new permanent home for our dog this weekend (Lovely people, friends of our daughter decided to take her). We decided awhile back we didn't want to take her on our new adventure with us. Mainly because she doesn't travel well at all. Even short trips in the car to the vet are extremely painfu...
I have been doing some research on several travel clubs and notice that most will not let you stay over a 3 day period. Do any of you belong to more than one or how do you handle this if staying for like a week or so? And recommendations of travel clubs would be appreciated.Thank you so much, P.K. in La.
If I got pulled away from a warm winter area to a Michigan type winter can I do it if I am RV'ing it please? Whats to be done about water lines and sewage? Is there a way? Also, if traveling from warm "thru" very cold mountain passes does one have to drain lines and "winterize" just to a...

It has come time to make dreams into reality by moving the office to the RV. The household and personal item purging has begun... I am so excited! My name is Vicky aka Mojo... last weekend we went into Canada for he first time since passports were required and I was surprised by a few things so thought I would share it here. Plus maybe others who have crossed recently can add their experiences. 1. Lee left the magnetic sign for Rv repair on the truck and we got grilled on &q...
I've not seen this posted here before, so I thought I'd mention it. I read about the recall in Trailer Life magazine, and it referred to 2015 models, so I went looking for information online regarding the recalls. When you use the link below, if you have a Keystone product, you may want to click on your...
Hello friends and far flung neighbors! I am writing you to request help for my clients. They are a vulnerable older couple who lost the home they were renting to the Carlton Complex fire in 2014. Tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM I will be trying to pursued a "round table" of funders to purchase a...
Hello Everyone, some may remember me, Ive made a couple mistakes in posing in the wrong areas and have that figured out. I started my dreams of traveling several years ago and that dream had to be put on the back burner for a while. Now I have a 4 burner stove in a new used 1989 American Cobra. Not the exact R...
Would you believe, they've done this with an Caravan in England by the name of Gidget. What makes it different from the "regular" teardrop is that it has a slide-out in the front. 10,000 pounds British currency, or $15,600 U.S. dollars. It was designed by an Australian couple and would...
We have been trying to sell our Tiffen on RVTrader.com so that we can order our last Coach as we plan to retire. I have had 4 inquiries and all but the first one never reply or only after we have sent them 2 more emails, do they answer. (1) Was a serious contender, said he had financing & was ready to buy-t...
We're looking for ways to invest some of the equity from the home we just sold so that it will bring us supplemental income. Does anyone out there own an RV site that you rent out to other RVers? We'd like to know: 1) Does it make good money? 2) Is it reliable income? 3) How difficult or easy is it to manage fro...
In your experiences, do you think that those white rope lights laid on the ground around the camper and/or around your truck would deter mice, chipmunks or snakes coming around especially at night? We have tried that Fresh Cab stuff and other stuff so we know all that. Now wondering about the LIGHTS...
I am being a guinea pig for this new operating system! So far seems Ok! upgraded my W/8.1 Acer Aspire E-15, w/Celeron proceesor and 500 gb HD. It was a decision to dump my old Gateway quad-core AMD/4 processor; NE-522 with 8 gb Memory and 1 TB HD that has W/7 HP. Finding a few older programs that were compa...
Apologies if this is in the wrong category... Has anyone driven US 70 from Ashville NC to Marion NC (eastbound)? There's a very steep grade on I-40 that I'm afraid to drive, and I'm wondering if 70 might be better or worse?
We have pretty much made the decision to fulltime, know what rig we want and what size truck will be needed. This may seem a silly question - but here it is: Did any of you keep holiday decorations for the RV and/or to take with you in the storage of your RV, for any reason? We are getting ready to go through our attic, as one of the steps of purging stuff, prior to going full-time. And, holiday stuff is the majori...
After several years in planning, Tracy and I finally hit the road today to start our full-timing adventure. As many on this forum know, it is not a simple process to get to this point. As we sit here in our first RV park... we are exhausted, but very, very happy. We are looking forward to what life dishe...
Well it has been some time since our last post and wanted to provide all an up date. How many using Good Sam? Good or bad results? Does or has anyone used it for up in Canada? I have the CAA Premier RV Membership. Anyone using something far more superior than this?
Has anyone ever stayed here? It was an absolute nightmare getting into the park, as the entrance is a very sharp right from the exit ramp OR you have to find somewhere down the road to turn around, which is extremely limited. We found a park to make a K-turn in the parking lot, which took us about 20 mins an...
