Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have always thought I would never sell my house to full time. The thought of not having a home base with all the things I find comfortable scares me. But after upgrading to a MH from a pop-up and spending several weeks going from Kansas to the east coast I did not want the vacation to end. When we got hom...
Better Fill Your Tanks Quick. Deadly Pipeline Blast Sending Gas Prices Soaring On The East Coast Are The Headlines. This Colonial pipeline that had the leak in September, apparently provides a third of the gasoline consumption on the East Side. Even Eastern Canada is anticipating a boost in pric...
Has anyone had any experience with the Good Sam RV insurance? They keep sending me letters, so I called and the insurance would be $500 less than I am paying now, for more insurance. Are they a good company? Thanks.
I bought a 2016 Fuzion 5'er in March and the porch light has gone dead, most other lights work fine.I have 2 questions:I have bounced down the road quite a bit this year, but is that normal for LEDs to fail this quickly? How to I get an exact replacement without; unsealing & removing the light to see if...

Does anyone have experience with any oxidation cleaners/restoration products? My 2002 coach does have some areas where Oxidation has occurred and I would like to improve those areas. I have used the Meguiar's product with average results so I am wondering what everyone else uses and their rec...
I bought this fantastic 5'er back in March. Only negative is it came with a 4 seat recliner sofa in the living room which I have no use for and want to sell. According to the vendor (Lippert), replacement cost is $2400 way over priced dollars. I have looked on the web to get an idea of pricing and you can get...
My electric bill really seems high. We have a 38' Montana. We don't have a washer/dryer, dish washer, or any extra appliancs than the normal RV stuff. We are located in Southeast Texas at present so we are using the air some but our electric bill is nearly as high as our 3000 sq.ft home was. I guess my q...
My wife and I were considering full timing about a year ago and received a lot of encouragement from posters on this forum. So, we 70 somethings jumped in and, after much research, bought a 35 foot fiver and a Silverado 3500 diesel dually, a truck "big enough to stop the camper, not just pull it" – per ad...

Before anybody asks…no, this isn't our rig…just posting it for a fellow New Horizons owner who is selling his rig due to medical issues. For NH owners on the forum…Gus was the guy at the 2016 NHOG rally that was in his words "the skinny bald guy who couldn't speak". Anyway…his rig is for sale. It's a 40 foo...

Just wondering if anyone has made the switch from Americas Mailbox to Escapees in SD? Both are in Pennington County so licensing / insurance costs should be the same. Because we run a small business we have to have the Platinum plan from Americas Mailbox which is their most expensive plan, and they ch...

Hi Seems like most full timers are either generally healthy or return to their regular doctor once or twice a year. Well that's not us. My wife and I will continue with the same health insurance when I retire, but will most likely have to use "out-of-network" providers. We are currently in NY, and plan t...
Where is the hot water heater bypass?? We have decided to not stay in the cold NW where we bought a house. I have to UN winterize our RV. The directions are vague and there are not diagrams! When I winterized the RV, I had a difficult time finding the clear tube. It was tucked back behind the water pump. I fin...
