Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hi, everyone! I am a new member here at RV. I hope I can be helpful to others. I just love traveling with my RV especially during vacation. Let's just share stuff and good EXP while we travel. Have a good day folks!
A number of people here have RV-hauler bodies on their tow trucks. Three companies I’m reviewing below (probably in order of choice). Have heard opinions (preferences) here about Utility Bodywerks and Classy Chassis, but not any rationale of one over the other. www.utilitybodywerks.com/cl...

During the winter months, we use all of our vacation days on a cruise ship trying to find the warm sun! Last year we bought a 2016 Ke...

I didn't quite know where to put this - Howard, move it to a more appropriate place if there is one. For those of you contemplating going full-time (or already are) and establishing domicile in Texas, there have been some changes to the Class A/B Non-Commercial Exempt driver's license procedures. Th...
we have arrived today at River Plantation for the spring rally. We got lucky and missed most of the heavy rain on our trip here today. Next week will also mark our 1 year anniversary of being fulltime RVers, we are looking forward to learning all kinds of new RV tips from Howard and Linda and meeting all ou...
I asked one of the workers here that I was friends with to please not contact my ex boyfriend. She came over to my lot today and knocked on my door when I came out I sat down and she threatened to kick my arse and kill me. I asked her to leave the lot and not come back. She was a friend and I borrowed her a ring to...
As fulltimers,we are considering a membership in this club. ROD is Resorts of Distinction and AOR is Adventure Ourdoor Resorts. Any comments? Thank you
Last year we had the dental experience in Los Algadones Mexico and all went well. We are now in the market for new eye glasses and were wondering if anyone has purchased theirs in Los Algadones. Looking for recommendations as to where to purchase and if the quality and pricing was good. Or should we just...
We have been at Jefferson County CG two week. If you ever need to bed down for a few days or weeks we recommend it. $30 a night with a dump station, water and only 30 at a lot of sites. Very friendly staff and have bent over backwards for us, account of the problems we have encountered while here. The wreck and...

Hi all. I'm Mike and my better half is Donna. We currently live in Las Vegas, from Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale before that and grew up in NYC. I used to do a lot of camping back in the 80's when I had an old Georgie Boy Motor home so I'm a little bit familiar with what it's all about, but there is a lot more to learn...
Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. My name is John (wife Juana). We live in sunny Florida. I am a New York transplant but my wife was born and raised here, so they tolerate me. Came across this site just last week and must say it has a wealth of information available. We are fairly new to RVing - about a year no...
I just switched off my Hotspot ZTE yesterday and moved over to the T-Mobile ONE. Flat rate and offers a "KickBack" of $10 per line if you only use 2G or less of your data. We now have 14G on each phone at 4G LTE and unlimited 3G after that. The new purchase for T-Mobile of the 600MHZ band will bring better rec...
Is there a way to set a default font and font size? When I start or reply to a post, it defaults to a small font size which I change to make larger (for easier reading.)
I would like to know if anyone has any comments or information about PRO's and CON's either way of establishing residency in either one of these states. We are planning on selling our house in the coming spring of 2017 and want to full time for at least 1 year. (maybe more.) Then we want to have a home base...
Time to replace batteries, we think we will do a little boondocking in the future. We have 5500 generator, inverter, and transfer switch. What AH rating range should we be looking in?
We searched diligently before the first time we towed in the mountains, and we found very little information. We made a YouTube video about what we learned, but we truly want more information. If you have suggestions or ideas, please leave comments. [video=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa...
Hello Everyone. My name is Gail from Cape Cod. The hubs and I are on the verge of retirement and have longed to do some travelling to see the country. We were in the right place at the right time and jumped in with both feet. Next weekend we will be the proud owners of a Fleetwood Discovery 38K. We have a...
My personal computer crashed, I need the name and number of the insurance company in oregan that has been mentioned for RV insurance. I had asked for a quote and they sent me an e-mail that is on my crashed computer. Thank you all in advance. Patkue
Anybody have one of these care to comment on their experience with them? We are weighing utility vs durability. Loaded down they don't seem to to be all that good on soft surfaces but in CG they should do better but I'm nervous that they won't hold up to less than smooth ground. For hauling stuff they seem...
Hey All! I'd first like to say that I'm so grateful for this forum! I've learned so much over the past year. Finally, I decided to come out of the shadows and see if I can do this! I'm a single empty nester with two dogs. I've done my bit for God, country and family; and now it's time to live for me. One of the thi...
Greetings to our new family, Truth be told, I have been living on this site the past year. My beautiful wife of 35 years Debbie and myself have just retired a couple of years early. (As did the founders of this amazing site.) After being avid boaters cruising the Pacific Northwest and Canadian San Juan...
Buying a $60,000 used RV Class A going full time, I have called three insurance companies they want 1/12 of the value perhaps I am going to high 250, 500, 300 am I asking for too much coverage? Love to hear from you fulltimers?!
Is anyone or has anyone struggled with giving up your home, property, and possessions to switch to full time RVing?I agreed to all this but now that we've sold the house and are purging and selling for pennies on the dollar, it's killing me! I love our home and 14 acres in the country, all the nature and bi...
As I browse around these boards, I don't see any small RVs. Is there anyone here that's a minimalist? Our Navion is 25 feet including the cab with one slide. We used to Snow Bird in a 17 ft Casita which gave us 14 feet of living space. I know we'll have more stuff but so far storage space is more than adequa...
anyone know of a good stop & go RV park around Las Vegas? Just looking for a 1 night stopover as I go back to Denver from LA. Any opinions on Hitchin' Post RV Park near Nellis? I'm not doing a stay to play which Oasis is good for that (I'm at Oasis now but too expensive IMO $50).
