Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I was on the irv2 forum for several years. I have gotten in trouble with their rules a few valid times. But there seems to be a broad and selective brush for the "off topic" ruling. Twice I was chastened for violating this rule and I know was was not out of bounds. I now have the reputation of having a "h...
This has been a long, and sometimes bumpy ride, but the unit is at the dealer, and pickup day is Monday. We placed our order for a 2017 Arctic Fox 29-5k in August of last year, after missing the last 2016 production run of this unit by one week So here we are. We sold our house last July, and have...
Our fulltiming plans have gone into supersonic high speed mode. We have 14 weeks to get ready to fulltime! Our situation is different as we will be in one place working for about 2 years.
So my question...what kitchen items did you take or wish you took fulltiming? What did you find that...
I'm looking at a 6-1/2 month working job not in my domiciled state. Might such a long-term job cause the new state to see me as a resident, with all the complications that might bring about? Would multiple 3-month jobs in different states be a safer alternative?
Husband and I are going to make the jump, hopefully this summer. House goes on market in next couple weeks once the work and decluttering is done!! Feeling overwhelmed, I am still working so things get done on weekends and nights, go to bed exhausted. I think this is more work than I had anticipated, som...
When we started FT'ing, we signed up for DirecTV's Distant Network Service. For the last several months, we've received the East Coast (New York) network feeds, which are the ones associated with our billing address (Livingston, TX). We will be on the West Coast (or at least in Pacific time zone) for...
D-day is finally approaching! April 10 is our scheduled pick up date for our new home on wheels (2017 Arctic Fox 29-5K). Our tow vehicle is a 2017 RAM 3500 4x4 DRW with factory air ride. Since I tend to worry myself sick, I have been obsessing over bed rail clearance lately. Does anyone have this exact se...
I'm going to replace the original battery that came with my TT with two 6V golf cart batteries.Sam's Club has the Duracell brand made by Deka in PA, rated at 215 Ah. Costco has Interstate, rated at 210 Ah. Same price, Costco a little more convenient. Any opinions on which is better? Thanks!
we hope to spend next winter in the southwest. We normally change locations about once a week in the spring, summer and fall months, but like to slow down in the winter. we hope to be in West Texas by November and leave Arizona for Utah in April to start and do the sites in that area so we are looking for sugge...

Hi Everyone, I'm a grateful Granddaughter trying to access anything relating to my Grandfather, Dean Fredrick, who was the 1980's Happy Hobo President. Today just so happens to be his 96th birthday! He took me on several camping outings with the Happy Hobo's and has such fond memories of his time...

I have 2016 Fuzion w/ a Norcold 1210 refrigerator. Last Thursday when I washed my RV, this High Temperature Sensor tripped and the refridge quit working. The panel was flashing this L1.oP and beeping. So I searched the forums and found info of people bypassing this switch. I wrote to Norcold and t...
When you refer to an RV suitable for "Full-time" does that mean living on the road with it year round or just using an RV as your (stationary) primary residence? I understand that the build quality is stronger for full-time RVs. If I plan on parking it and living in it would I need one built for full-time o...
The last couple years the TFL guys do a towing MPG loop .... very interesting. Here is the HD video .... https://youtu.be/274hcMblOQU I would have to say I was a bit surprised at how low they were. I am seeing around 10 no wind & no hill days and as low as 8.5 with headwinds & hills (GCVW ~29k). A...

I took the top section of my new B&W hitch off for the winter and before I put it back on, I want to know what type of grease to use to lubricate the base. Any info would be much appreciated. Frank
I have an Onan 5500 propane generator installed in the coach. It's new, like the 5th wheel, and has about 25 hours on it. I've been running it for about 10-15 minutes every few months. It always starts promptly and runs great. Does that sound like the right way to ensure it stays healthy? -- Edited by...

Hi everyone. I'm probably very premature here but I've never been a procrastinator. I'm 47 now and work for the Federal Gov't and can retire at 57 (barring any unforeseen circumstances). Wife works for Delta Air Lines and is straight 401k so she can go whenever. So, our plan is to retire the day I turn 57...
Hi to all, found this forum by accident in search for "criminal activities in RV parks" but that's another subject. Any way, I and my partner in life decided to give up renting (paying for someone else home). We decided to go mobile and bought a cozy 26' travel trailer. I'm still finding new issues that n...
