Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I know, I know... All the fuss over the man who killed that woman who'd advertised on Craiglsist.... What she did was... well, her business, but she certainly did not deserve to be murdered for it. Last night, I went through Craigslist jobs in the "etcetera" section and found at least 12, 7...

My husband was trying to be helpful when he came home with a pre-made pizza in a box from the grocery store. Well the pizza didn’t fit in the refrigerator very well, so I decided we better eat it that night. I put it in the oven to heat up. It didn’t fit in the oven very well either. As I was about to take it out he...
Hi all. My name is Greg. I live in Indianapolis Indiana. I don't actually own an RV yet but I'm looking at a 1988 Allegro 27 footer with all the amenities. The reason I say I'm a new fulltimer sort of is that I plan on living in the RV full time but not doing much traveling in it for a while. I still have a job that...
I would like to hear from some of you fellow Dreamers about the Sleep Number Bed. Mr Alfie and I both have back problems, and we are hoping the SNB will be the answer for us. Any comments.. pro or con, would be much appreciated..
Saw this on another forum and had to post this handy dandy tool here... At www.findfuelstops.com you can search for truck stops along your route of travel. Enter your starting city or zip and ending city or zip and the site will generate a page on the fly listing all the diesel truck stops - with prices - (...

Hello fellow RVers. I am Ken, retired USAF officer and public school teacher. My wife, DeBe, is still working but closing in on retirement. In researching RV full-timing, I came across this wonderful forum. Like so many others we read about here, we've made the decision to hit the road as full-tim...

We recently purchased a Scion XB with manual transmission for a toad. It's lightweight and has lots of interior room. Has anyone had experience with this vehicle as a toad?
Hi all we have saved this website as our favorites for almost a year now. Karon told me about it in another forum. We are brand new fulltimers as of July 29th 2008. This weekend I decided to try and solve a recurring problem when using our older HP Laptop (came from factory with wireless adaptor) through our Cradlepoint 1000 router with Verizon aircard. The coneection to the wireless network was very poor or non-existent. Yet when we use the new Acer netb...

Hi from SoCal Desert. We have a Dune Chaser 5th-wheel that has the toy hauler in the box, and the toys it hauls are my husband's woodworking tools. He turns writing pens and hopes to turn larger items in the future. Our son is 16 and probably won't be traveling with us as much as he gets older. so Eddy and...
I have a Jeep Liberty and want to carry 2 bicycles. The Jeep Liberty has the rear window that raises up when opened and the tailgate hinged on the left. Using a rack that goes into a hitch receiver makes opening the rear door impossible. I also fear the bikes mounted on the back of the Jeep would make seeing...
So I am now officially broke - but at least I have a place to live! LOL I was talking to my wonderful friend Maria this morning and she said, "Oh, don't borrow money! I'll lend it to you!" That's the kind of person she is - what a gem. So I wrote a check a few hours ago for everything I had in the b...
I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly but I can't get my water heater to fire up. It is a propane heater. There is a control panel above the stove with controls for checking the tank levels and (I think) starting the water heater. I have a users manual but it isn't very clear on starting it up. The manual say...

I was wondering what part of the year is the best time to buy an RV price wise. I was thinking in the end of Summer when most RVing activity has stopped but I have never purchased an RV so I would like to know what you guys think.
My husband and I are currently waiting for our house to sell back in Iowa before we can become full-time RVers however we've stumbled upon an opportunity that we just can't pass up. If you're buying a used 5th wheel from a private seller & they say the windows are dual pane - how do you know for sure? Can you tell by looking at them?
We are in the final phase of getting rid of clothes that we do not need or want to squeeze into the motorhome. We will live in our coach full-time 24/7/365 and we plan to follow the sun and warmer temperatures from November through early May. However, we will return to the Chicago area for Christmas (sno...
