Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi all we have saved this website as our favorites for almost a year now. Karon told me about it in another forum. We are brand new fulltimers as of July 29th 2008. We are currently in Granbury Texas. My husband is a retired airline Captain and I still work. We purchased a Double Tree Select Suite 5th wheel and a 2006 Ford F350.
Our first trip will be next month to Branson, MO. We are very excited to start our new adventure! I am so glad y'all are here so we can learn the ropes quickly.

We have been fulltime since June 2007 and love it. We're in Pa right now but we'll winter in Tx. We'll be in Livingston at the Escapee Clubs CARE center for 4 plus weeks beginning Nov 15. In Jan we'll move down to Rockport.
Welcome to the forum and the full-timing lifestyle.
Branson should be nice in September, so enjoy your trip and be sure to ask the friendly folks here if you have any questions.
Full-timing is great! Enjoy!

Plan on being in Pa. in the next 2 wks to visit our one and only grandchild then on to Fl. for the winter months to visit our other daughter. Spent the last 2 winters in Az. now I think we need new area to explore. southwestjudy
Thanks for the warm welcome. We are very excited to get to know other full time RV's. I can tell you if we had our hitch in the truck I think we would be some where cooler. The hitch is being installed on Wednesday. The NAV unit goes in on the 25th. Then we will be free to roam. We do love Granbury it is a very neat little town. We are at Bennett's RV Ranch. They have been wonderful to us.

From 2 year full timers from Grand Prairie, welcome to the world of RVing, the greatest lifestyle there is. Granbury is a neat little town, especially the town square. You will enjoy Branson. We went to Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater and saw some of our favorites from the 60's. What a great time. Enjoy your new life!!!
Dave and Sammie if you ever head this way let us know. We would love to meet you. We are in the park right behind Bennetts RV. Thanks for sharing about the shows at Dick Clarks. I will check that out. Did you stay at ABC?
Phyllis big selling vibes for your house!!

We stayed at the Treasure Lake RPI Park in Branson, only because we were RPI members. I don't know about the ABC Park but others we have stayed at were always nice.
Realtor says house looks great, however we only have 3 bedrooms and two full baths. These people want more bedrooms and baths. That's okay.
We were actually hoping there would be no offer. Contact expires in Oct. My daughter wants to buy it. We can both save money going with an attorney and not through a realtor. So - looks like we will be hitting the road in February.
I am totally jealous. We live in South Fort Worth and have been trying to sell our sticks and bricks for the last year+. Best of luck. We have friends who own a storage facility on Weatherford Road in Granbury. Did you live in Granbury before fulltiming? cc jealous in FW
Nope we did not live in Granbury. We had a 2600 square foot home at Eagle Mountain Lake. We bought our Select Suite from Bennetts RV Center here. They have a park behind the RV dealership and we fell in love with Granbury. The park is very clean and they run a tight ship, but are very accomodating at the same time. We intend to make this our homebase.
Selling vibes to you for your house. It is a frustrating time to be on the market. Ours sold when we least expected it. The couple had looked at 5 days prior to the offer with no feedback at all.

We sold our house last month and are now free from yard mowing LOL. We have to wait until February for my anniversary date so I can retire. We are having a March madness party in Kerrville Texas March 1st thru ?? If you happen to be in the area please drop by so all us Dreamers can meet you. We had our first rally in Branson Mo. and we all stayed at ABC...one of the finest bunch of folks in the Camp Ground Business. I think you will find all the Dreamers on this forum to be so friendly and helpfull....I know you will join in and be a great asset to this forum.
Hey, Colleen, welcome to the RV-Dreams community - one of the best families ever! It's a small world and so fun to get to meet others with similar interests/backgrounds, just from all over the country!
Congratulations on your RV Coleen. Tina and I lived in Granbury for about 8 years. We're originally from Fort Worth, but for the last few years, we've been kind of stuck in Austin. Anyway, we have recently begun to research getting another RV, selling everything (excepting the Harleys, the Accord and the Jeep) and becoming FT's. We've owned quite a few homes and frankly, we're just tired of the stick-n-brick "dream" and having to work high stress, high tech jobs to pay for it all. We're hoping to start our FT lifestyle back up in the DFW area and Granbury is definitely on our list of options.
Interesting you mentioned Bennett's. Their daughter and son-in-law used to live across the street from us and they were really a cute couple! The paren't RV business seemed to be a very reputable business and was in part one factor that got us interested in buying our first RV. (boy do we regret selling it!)
Anyway, hope y'all have fun and perhaps Tina and I will meet y'all one fine, sunny day!
Jim and Stacy Rist (the Bennetts daughter and son in law) own Bennetts RV Ranch. The park is just beautiful. Jim has done an outstanding job designing and building it. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are still at the dealership everyday. Stacy runs the dealership. We have made Bennetts RV Ranch our homebase for fulltiming. We are currently in AZ on our way to the NASCAR race. We will celebrate the holidays with other fulltiming friends we have made in Rockport, TX. We will head back to Bennetts sometime after the first of the year.
I spoke with Jim yesterday and he said he would love to catch up with you. He said he hadn't seen you in several years and wondered where you were.
