Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I've posted here before to sell my 2006 Elite Suites 36TK3 but it's still for sale for $59,000. Here's the deal........ if any of you fulltimers or wannabee fulltimers have a late model Class C, I would be interested in taking it as trade. I do want at least one slide in living area and would also like a sli...
Hello All and Happy Holidays. Just in the dreaming phase of this and was looking for information. My older sister and older brother both have 5ers and use them to vacation during the summer. I've garnered much information from them. While visiting in October, I stayed in my sisters Sunnybrook and...
We had a hand rail up next to the door but it got pulled out which stripped the screws from the framing. I assume that there are 2x somethings that frame the door correct? What type of screws should I use to mount this handrail so that it doesn't pull out again? I had thought to drill all the way through to...
If any of you want to know when Santa will be getting to your house, you can track his progress here. http://www.noradsanta.org/en/index.html Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! Jim and Linda-- Edited by Jim01 on Thursday 24th of December 2009 06:19:40 AM
Everything went very smoothly today! Breaking camp was absolutely no problem. Hitching up went, I would say without a hitch....HA! It went bang on perfect. Very slick. We are impressed with the location of the slides when in. If we had to, we could make do overnight with slides in. Again, pret...
We arrived here in Rusk yesterday afternoon. Our 5er was here waiting for us! Our salesperson came and did the orientation. The rest of the evening was spent transferring stuff from "The Duck" to our new 5er. After a restful slumber our first night in our new home, we awoke to a heavy fro...
We're now the proud owners of a 2009 38'4 Montana fifth wheel, 10th anniversary edition! Wowsers! Bought from RV Station in Nacogdoches, TX - thank you Charlie! Really like those folks. Really like our new home! Got a really good deal and our 5er is as good as it gets. Dave is having them put in a firepl...

I'd like to thank everyone for suggestions and support for the last four years as we waited to go fulltime. We now have our RV and we're in our first RV park in Clayton, NC. DH will still work till beginning of February then we'll be off to Rockport, TX. We're in our first days of learning the gadgets and...
Hey all! Just wondering if anyone is going to the vermont RV show Sept. 12-13? My hubby and I are going to go to see EVERYTHING we can see. I just thought I'd ask. Nessa
Have three boxes of books ready to go to Half-Price Books. Have divided clothes into what definitely goes, what probably goes and then the last bunch to be whittled down closer to jump time. After all, I do have one more blistering Texas summer to get through! Just put my wedding dress for sale on cra...
We just moved in this week to our travel trailer, and I start noticing like ants very small, grey color has wings they are all over the places and a lot of them, Im afraid that its going to be TERMITES.The only details I could give you is that we bought it in Minnesota and brought it to Florida, and it was clos...
I am looking to buy a ladder to use on the RV. I do not want to attach one to the fixed ladder on the rear of the coach -- so a regular step ladder from Lowes or Home Depot will not work for me. Do any of you own a telescoping ladder that can be stored in the basement? What brand and size is it? Do you like it?...
I happened upon a recipe website called Campbell's Kitchen (the Campbell's soup people). I've found quite a few recipes that I want to try, especially the quick & easy recipes with only 5 ingredients. Anyway, thought I'd share this with the other RV Dreamers who enjoy cooking (and eating)...
Hey Ya'll, But will have to wait a while.. :( We've been RVing in our G2 for over a year now and are members of Silent Valley Club here in California. It's a great place to relax and get out of the desert heat in the summer. It's also only 35 miles from our home. We both...
Hello everyone! I've been a lurker for the past few days, and decided this morning to sign in and introduce myself. My husband and I are just starting to begin the planning phase for a fulltiming lifestyle that is still several years away. I just got my first fulltiming books yesterday as a matter of fac...
I've been telling a few friends and family members about our purchase of a 5er and our full-timing plans. Such a variety of reactions...Friends are mostly positive, excited for us and perhaps wishing they could/would do the same. One dear friend, whom I suspect has some survivalist traits is hap...
Hello everyone: I've been reading the blogs and following Howard and Linda's journal for several days. I'm so envious of them sitting in the beautiful state park in Panama City, Florida. I finally signed up a couple days ago but not real experienced with this blog thing. We are dreamers who hope to...
We have been lurkers since September 20 when Gary, my husband, and I decided that we had no more time to waste. I found RV-Dreams and read every journal entry from the beginning. We will be fulltimers this spring and plan on attending the RV-Dreams Rally in SC. This was a decision based on #1 boredom -...
But I'm so ready in my mind! 2 years ago we sold our home and moved into our motorhome while looking for land to build on. At that point we was making $3000 a month on the money sitting in the bank and my wife has another $25K a year coming in on retirement. We should have turned the key and drove off then!! Bu...
This isn't exactly an RV accessory, but couldn't find a more appropriate category... As we continue our constant effort to purge and liquidate, we are pondering whether we should keep our current car as a 2nd vehicle. We had been planning to sell it, but as we continue to think through the pros and cons...

Has anyone added an Easy chair or recliner to there unit? If so, are there designs or styles that lend themselves to an RV. Obviously the chair will not be bolted down, so stability is a concern, thanks Gene
The fireplace is installed and they are just waiting on delivery of the sewer boom to install that and then our Montana will be ready for us to pick up! Whoohoo! One scenario we're looking at is towing our TT up to the dealer (about 4-5 hours from here) on a Saturday. They can do the walk-through and we tr...
Looks like we will be spending about 6 weeks in the Port Arthur/Beaumont TX area during late Feb all of March and early April. Len has a short term job promise in that area. Anyone here have recommendations? I looked at reparkreviews.com and don't see anything much promising. Phyllis

I'm in Grand Jct, CO and have frozen water pipes. I'm in an '02 Monaco Diplomat and cannot 'follow' the water pipes outside the water storage bay, which is heated. Does anyone know where the pipes may be, the owner's manual doesn't supply that info. Quick help would be so much appreciated. barb
