Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We've been RVing in our G2 for over a year now and are members of Silent Valley Club here in California. It's a great place to relax and get out of the desert heat in the summer. It's also only 35 miles from our home. We both still work and are not going to be able to retire for 6 or so more years. We are planning to get our full timing rig within the next year, so we can have it paid off when we're ready to go!
We've sold our house and are renting, and are thinking we may "fulltime" it for a year(at least), in a park near Palm Springs, while working, to get the feel of the smaller quarters. I've lived in a 31' HR TT for a year and a half, and also a 30' Carver motoryacht for 2 years on Lake Washington while working as a General Foreman for SASCO Electric in Seattle, so I'm sure I can do it. Peni hasn't and this would be the way to find out if she can do away with everything a big house has to offer.
Glad to have found this forum and all it has to offer to the "wanna be" and "seasoned fulltimer". Hope to read much more about all fulltiming has to offer...
Howard and Penni, Welcome to the forum. I think you idea of living in the RV full time while working is a great idea, especially if Penni has misgivings. We are going to do the same but I think both of us are on the same page, knowing we can do this.

We also want to go now. We have a new Excel, the dealer is storing it for us until March, then we move into it but still need to work through August. Hope to see everyone somewhere down the road after that.
Time has a way of going by before you know it. Your time will come and when it is here you will have the time of your life living this life style...Welcome aboard and hope to hear from you often.
We too are chomping at the bit to get going. We did a 30 day "practice run" and loved it. We're both retired,we are debt free and have our pickup and rig bought.Just waiting out a lousy Real Estate market to get our property sold. Will just have to take short trips every once in a while to get rid of our hitch itch.I hope all the moons line up soon so we can get going.
