Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
When you travel with pets (part of your family) and a situation comes up that you have to fly home for a couple of weeks, what do you do with your pet during the time you will be gone? What is the best way to find a good boarding facility for your pet? We certainly do not like to leave our dog in a kennel for 3 we...
As Larry & I prepare to travel thousands of miles between now & the end of the year we are figuring out our campground, food & fuel expenses. In doing so we would like to share a product that we have personally been using for over one year. In fact, we have not traveled one mile since we star...
Had planned on joining the class of '06, but the house (East TN) did not sell (Bad timing), and we have been expecting it to for three years now. We can wait no longer, as time is flying by (We are 79/78 yrs), so we figured out a way to get on the road anyway (Older, smaller and cheaper 5th wheel than original...
Heading out to Sturgis next year and looking for some ideas on RV sites. We have a Cyclone 3950 hauler. Looking for something with nice amenities like pool, live music, etc without the wild partying til the wee hours...any advice?

Hello from northwest Alabama! My name is Kerri and I am a single, homeschooling mom of a 21 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. I am hoping to be FTing within the next year. I am looking for a used class C in good mechanical condition (that I can afford ), to refurbish. My daughter and I are dreaming...
Hi Everyone! I am in the "research phase" of this adventure, and had decided that a Class C was the way I wanted to go. I was totally convinced of my preference and already had the "refurb" ideas in my head that I wanted to do. If money were no object, that is still the way I would go...
for at least the next 6 mo. We have given up our stick and brick for the next 6 mo. Last year, we stayed out of our stick and brick for 2 mo. and realized that it was so freeing and so incredibly freeing, that we found a brand new RV park that had just opened who was taking 6 mo. leases, just 14 miles from the main...

I'm considering buying a phased out rental motorhome from El Monte RV. They seem to be considerably cheaper. I understand that these units have been driven hard, have high mileage, and not maintained very well by the renters.. but consider my situation: I am solo fulltiming for no more than two year...
Hello everyone... I'm in the process of moving from the wannabe stage to the mainstream. I'll be putting my home up for sale after Christmas. I'll be purchasing my first RV then. I have a photo project that will probably take 1 to 3 yrs to complete that will take me to every region in the country. I don't pl...
Removed because I wanted oven area for storage, so now we just have a stovetop. For sale. White stovetop with black front and oven. One knob on front is missing otherwise in very good condition. 3 burners. Located in So Ca.
Moving over from that other forum...been on that since '02. Always on the lookout for fresh ideas and adventures. WAY retired and no aspirations of full timing....hard to beat our modest home overlooking a river valley in the mountains of Utah and a long ways from town(s), including our own post of...
I have Skype loaded on my MacBook and I know it works, but it hasn't worked very well. It seems to freeze, or else the picture and sound are very "choppy". At first I thought maybe I needed to tweak something with the Mac, but I'm wondering if it could be the air card. Has anyone had problems u...
One pro - A Kingston floorplan that has this is attractive in some regards. It does have 2 doors, including one at the rear for galley access. Cons - So far I've thought of the possibility of dishes, cups, etc. going dancing on the floor while traveling...but there seem to be ways of preventing that. T...
So we closed on our house on November 3. I haven't been able to sign on and make any updates because we haven't had any internet connections. :( Right now my daughter is at therapy and I snuck away to the library to get online for a few minutes. We have bought our RV but are not living in it. A couple from...
We move out of our house in one week!!!! I don't know exactly how I feel yet. I'm excited and ready, but at the same time it hasn't really sunk in yet. I was just talking to my husband about helping in the soup kitchen on the morning of closing because it's on a Tuesday and that's what I do on Tuesdays. I s...
Would anyone who has taken the behind the wheel test for a Class A Non-Commercial License in Texas please share your experiences. What were you required to do? Thanks!
I have a Travel Trailer with a two year warranty, of which one year is already used, leaving me with one more year. I am considering Good Sam for Extended Warranty coverage. Does anyone have any feelings either way on this provider? Thanks for your input, Marty
I did a search and could not find much on the subject, how many woman out there drive the the BIG RIGS? My wife is a bit intimidated by the size of our new rig, she wants to look into instructional classes, i would think they are around, has anyone ever heard of an rv driving coarse?, thanks G
Two years ago we sold our Class C MH. As we get ready to go out again we are looking at a 5th wheel this time. Already have a f-250 to tow with. Plan on staying at 28 feet or less. Started out looking at used ones in the 10k price range with hopes of paying cash. We are now exploring new in the 25k price range and fi...
I'm not usually so obtuse when it comes to cooking, but I'm not a big fan of crockpots so mine tends to stay in the cupboard unless I'm boiling peanuts lol! About the corned beef, 1) do you rinse it before you put it in the pot (I know "they" say not to, to add juice and all but it makes me go "ic...
I am not a F/T as yet but will be in the next three years. My question is Family Married Children, Grand-kids and friends you have had for years. How log does it take to get over missing them and how often do you come back to visit?
I am new to your site and would like to introduce myself. My name is Linda and I am retired. I have been the driver of our motor home for several years. My husband was suffering from lung cancer and we used our motor home to stay in several place for him to get treatments. Our intensions were to do more travel...
