Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have been reading about boondocking and using solar panels to charge your batteries, however I am not certain I understand the whole converter and inverter usage. I know I have a converter, but I don't have an inverter. I know a little about inverters because we used to use them when in our truc...

We are new to RV ing as we have been boaters for many decades and are making the transition. We maintained a good log on the boats, every time the boat moved was logged. I am a firm believer in KISS.Each page had these columns: Date ; Eng Hours; GPS odometer reading; Event (this was where we were and what we...
Just purchased a 2008 Jayco Designer from a private party. The Fantastic fan in the kitchen area doesn't activate from the thermostat. The furnace lights but goes out. I can see the heater behind the water heater but don't know how to get to it to check it out. I really don't want to run to a repair shop i...

I have initiated a campaign at my place of employment to collect as many packages of socks, white athletic cotton, we can. Pleaes read the l...

When we started our business, wanted to give our children the best life possible so for years, we worked and worked and worked, spent way to many hours getting our business to what w...
I have another question. Does anyone know of any company (business) that will put a rubber roof over top of a fiberglass roof? I inquired at our local RV dealer and was told that it just isn't done (I had experience with them, that they don't seem to know everything about RVs, ei: we needed a new valve fo...
We had started the process of shedding our overstuffed house in January. We also had made all the needed improvements to the house before we attended the RV Dreams Rally in SC. ( Why do we always wait to sell a house before we spend the money to make it more livable?) We came home so excited about our fu...
Finally after two years of purging and a few setbacks in getting our home sold we closed today at 10 a.m Rocky Mountain Daylight time.We are finally" houseless but not homeless"( plagiarized from elsewhere on the forum). We are at this moment parked at Linda's Sister and Brother -in -Laws...
The plastic gravel guard on my 2007 Prowler 29FKS just cracked for the third time. Too expensive to replace with stock only to break again. Any suggestions?
When you are boondocking is thier a time limit on federal land or BLM sites? I thought I read somthing about 14 days and having to buy a permit? At Arches National Park can you just move from camp ground to camp ground with no time limit? Thanks in advance Rodgtc -- Edited by Rodgtc on Thursday 22nd of April...

I'm John of John and Martha from Charlotte NC. I found this site and forum from Ken and Nanette's blog "Our Adventure Chronicles".I'm sure most of you are familiar with their blog. I found it this past Saturday and was riveted for 4 hours reading every word. It was so much that I needed t...
I'm Steve of Steve & Bobbie fame. We're the ones who are currently parked next to Howard and Linda in Kentucky. We've been full timers since 2005 and are doing the workamper thing. Howard & Linda told us of their web site so I checked it out and decided to sign up and participate. Looking forward...
We're beginning to look for a Class A and are debating between gas or diesel. Gas engine is more in our budget but we hear that Class A's last longer and are more reliable. I'd love to hear some opinions.
Thanks to Howard and Linda for bringing th Geeks on Tour to the 2010 RV-Dreams Rally. We learned tons on pictures and blogging so here is our new blog: www.rsanityrvtravels.blogspot.com We appreciate feedback and suggestions. Hope you enjoy it! Best Regards!
Hey gang, we have someone coming back this morning to take a second look at our house. They should be there in about 1 1/2 hours. So, please keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed for us. And it sure wouldn't hurt anything if a few prayers went up. Thanks! Judy (and Bob)
My name is Wil, but most just call me "Old Dog". I'm well past the half century mark. One foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel at the rim of the abyss and the view from here is disconcerting. I am a former student, pearl diver, cook, truck driver, firefighter, EMT, CEO, Town Fire Warden,...
I have posted before about the trials and tribulations we have faced in trying to sell our house so we can begin our fulltiming dream. Well, I think this may be it. We have an accepted offer and their financing has been secured. The inspection was on Saturday so we are waiting to hear what he has to say. ...
After the RV Dreams Rally and attending the excellent class on Blogging, we've decided to start our own. While working on my first post, I have a problem with the program putting additional line spacing between my paragraphs. I want to have a space between each one but when I preview the post, there a...
Sorry for what will probably be a dumb question, but the majority of my towing experience has been at a time before cruise control was available on trucks. I have a tendency to NOT want to use cruise control while towing, simply because of reaction time should something, either the traffic situation o...
We've decided for sure to get a new diesel truck, in order to get the first part of our F/T package done, while using it to tow a small TT, 'till we are ready for the big one. I apprecieate the patience shown me by many on this topic. Now I just have a few small questions. As I have in the past, I'm asking for Ford...
