Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have started the fulltime lifestyle and are having problems getting DirecTV. When I called them to cancel our home subscription and go to mobile, they said they don't do that anymore. They referred me to Winegard or King Controls. All we want is a portable DirecTV antenna. I know there are peop...

I'm getting real close (weeks) to moving from OH to CA to meet up with my SO and start our RV life. I'm leaving behind my 34 year old son and many belongings. The rest of my family is in NJ, way far away. I find myself alternating between excitement, fear and sadness. Was going through lots of old pictur...
Now that our 5ver is crammed solid with "stuff", I'd like to find out where I'm at with respect to the truck & RV weight capacities. Can someone tell me what to expect when going through a weigh station? Specifically, does it cost anything? If I do happen to be overloaded, are the 'weight...

Did I get your attention? Good! Say we are overnighting for one night in a Cracker Barrel parking lot or in an RV park. One night only. We are a bit abnormal when it comes to our adventure full timing in an RV. We are avid rock climbers and mountain bikers and as a result will have about 300 lbs (I'm guessing on the high side) of climbing gear, bike parts, bike tools and sport specific extra clothing for 4 season play. Right now we are lea...
Have been reading through the forums a bit and it seems like most people here have bigger coaches and 5th wheels. Are there other Class B owners that hang out here at all? Don't mind being in the minority, just curious really :) -- Edited by Vantramp on Wednesday 5th of May 2010 05:46:24 PM
Does anyone ever set up an easy-up, probably with sides, at an RV park, next to their motor home? I do sculpture and have been hoping to figure out how to take it along. I can work outside, but I need a large table area and am vulnerable to wind. I was wondering if I could set up my easy-up tent as a studio spa...
Our 2 yr warranty comes to an end on the "in sevice date" of our 5th wheel (2008 Designer 36RLTS) on May 27/10. We are now facing the question of whether or not to pay $2500 CDN for an an extended warranty for 4 more years called "Secure Trailer" underwritten by the Soveriegn Gener...

Hello All... Wanted your advise. We are a young couple Kid free thinking about leaving the corp world and hitting the road. Almost debt free except truck/rv. I"ve been blogging for years - started with a food blog, then added a cross stitching blog that morphed into a quilting blog, and then a travel blog called Wanderlust. I started that one in November of 2006 - and it has chronicled our camping trips and adventures. Now that we're counting down the...
