Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
When you are boondocking is thier a time limit on federal land or BLM sites? I thought I read somthing about 14 days and having to buy a permit? At Arches National Park can you just move from camp ground to camp ground with no time limit?

Rules vary by state and location. You'll just have to ask at the park you have in mind. Regarding the 14 day limit, I've encountered the following:
1. You must move after 14 days in one spot, it can be to the spot next to you. 2. You must move after 14 days but you must move at least 22 miles. 3. You must move after 14 days but if it isn't busy, you can stay put if you like. 4. You must move after 14 days.. haven't enforced that rule since 1982.
We were in Arches yesterday and I believe there is only one campground in the park so no moving from campground to campground. I also think they only allow 14 days, Howard may chime in an could tell you for sure. I think time of year influences some campgrounds. In peak season when most sites are filled the rule would probably be enforced more rigidly.
