Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We made our trip to N.C. and brought home our Jayco. It has a couple small issues, and we found out the hard way that the warranty does not follow the unit. The seller says that he will honor the warranty even though Jayco will not. Guess I didn't do my homework well enough, thought Jayco was above that. We m...
I have not been posting much here because we are really busy and what posting I do is mainly on my blog http://phoenixonceagain.blogspot.com The big pieces of furniture are gone with the exception of our bedroom set, and we have a prospective buyer coming to see it this week. Our residence is a shambl...
We just got back from our first trip with the new to us TT. It went great not a problem with the TT or the TV. I have several pi...

Alrighty, We're considering a few "new to me" (used) motorhomes. A couple of the units are in less than pristine condition to say the least, but with some elbow grease and some duct-tape and WD-40, I'm pretty sure they could be made road worthy. Ok, to the detail... Where on Gods green earth...
I have a 2004 F-250 with the 6.0 liter diesel engine that is notorious for many mechanical issues. I now have 24,000 miles on the truck and have had (under warranty) the turbo, turbo base plate, two batteries, two recalls (wiring harness & re-flash of the computer), oil leaks, and two TSB’s (tech...
On our way to the RV-Dreams rally, it appears we will be on the road between Gatlinburg, TN but not yet to Myrtle Beach, SC on Easter weekend. Since it is Easter weekend, we figure we better find someplace we can make reservations. We'd like to find someplace about half way, maybe just north or near C...
A question for the fulltimers with Motorhomes that stay put for awhile. Mechanically with a trailer or 5th wheel if you stay put for a few months there is no engine laying dormant, you drive your toad or truck every day. With a MH the diesel engine sits, batteries etc... is there a maintenance technique...
After many years of planning, we have finally done it! We started about 10 years ago researching fulltime RVing. We flipped our stick house to get it ready, sold it after 8 months on the market and decided on a 1996 American Eagle. We have about 2 weeks left to closing and still have alot to do with sell...

We are currently full-timers but are interested in boondocking. What equipment would be necessary to successfully boondock? I'm guessing: 1) Solar Panels & associated batteries 2) Generator...but how "large" in size? 3) Grey/Blue boy. What else? Any suggestions would...

We're finally free!!! Today was my last day at work. Yahoo!!!! The closing on the house is May 21st, so we still have a little way to go, but all is looking good. The home inspection and the appraisal went well. The last step is the septic and well inspection on Moday. We've never had a problem, so are...
Well, I have to say, we've had plenty of small issues with the new 32MKS, such as broken parts like fridge handles latches, stove-top hinges and other small things. However, I have to report that our dealer (Open Roads RV - Ottawa) have received the part promptly from Ever Green and have been great to ta...
Hello Howard, I am trying to learn how to post pictures on the forum. I saved a picture on MSN.Spaces. I have no trouble viewing it but when I transfer and try and put it under my signature all I get is a box with a red X and title. Do I have to put in the demensions before a picture will appear? Thanks Ron
I came across this Rippoff website, if you search RV you will get pages and pages of complaints about different manufacturers and campgrounds. It is a good site to check out if you are considering doing business with someone, enjoy, G http://www.ripoffreport.com/Default.aspx
Hello all I have read many comments about how more stable the ride is with DRW, how much more weight can be carried and how having 4 vice 2 is nice when one blows. My problem is that I already purchase a SRW cause I needed it for day to day use etc. etc. etc. So what now? I have no plan to upgrade My ride: I have a 2...

It is now "crunch time". Our Mobile Suites arrived at the dealership yesterday, so we should have it ourselves sometime next week. What I need now is information regarding insurance that is more specific than what I've read online. Besides calling Miller Insurance (H&L's broker...

My wife and I have been Owner/Operators of an 8 room B & B in upstate NY for the last 6 years. We enjoy it but will be moving onto a more exciting endeavor, Full Time RVin...
We are currently looking at different motorhomes and I have a question. I have been told by several people to stay away from any motorhome that has a rubber roof. Being an Aggie from Texas A&M, I have several questions. What is a rubber roof? How do I know if the model we are looking at has one? Wh...
I would like to cut 2x6 boards for leveling blocks for a dual axle RV, should one block be long enough to fit under two tires or is it better to use separate blocks for each tire? I will cut a 45 degree angle on one end. Length of the blocks? Thanks, CCC
