Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Can anyone make a recommendation for a campground on the Tennessee side of Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park? I don't think that I can stay in the park because of the length restrictions. What town is the best area for access to the park? We'd like to stay for ~week and am mostly interested in the park and park ac...
Right now ... I have at least two offers to me (from dealers, of course) for a new 2010 SD F350 4X2 Crew Cab Lariat 156" (short bed) WB styleside diesel. As options, one has a Lariat Ultimate Package and the bottom line is $45,195. The other has a Lariat Plus Package with a bottom line of $43,269. Betw...
Well, folks... We have landed a gig at a snowbird park in Arizona for the winter! Aaaahhhh....heated swimming pool....activities...mature guests (in age at least) who hopefully know better than to trash a restroom... Cool beans! We have had numerous leads and actually several offers (Midland, T...
OK, OK, I know. We have really moved fast on this whole fulltiming idea, but my husband and I are kind of those kind of people and it usually works for us. So we did a boatload of research, and found some folks we really like dealing with (fingers crossed that the relationship is this positive in a month or t...
I was checking my air pressure in my tires, and on one of the tires the valve stuck open. I first tried to poke the inner valve stem with a screwdriver, and that didn't help. I neighbor in the campground had a tool to tighten the stem, that helped some but it stilll leaks. I'm new to RVing, and in my first tw...
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with a Schwinn Point Beach Cruiser bike, (or something similar), that I saw at Wal Mart? I currently have an old mountain bike, and it's about worn out. My back doesn't seem to like the mountain bike riding positions any more, so I am looking for something with...
Does anyone have a work at home type job that doesn't involve selling anything. I'm trying to think of something I can do part-time from the RV that can earn me some income. In my former life I was an administrative assistant so I have excellent clerical and computer skills. I know that there are medic...
OK, I must admit I'm confused ... or I haven't done enough research yet. I'm looking at a Ford F-250 Diesel to pull a Keystone Montana 5th Wheeler. I do not want a regular cab but want a four door model. However, I don't seem to be able to figure out what the difference is between a Crew Cab and an Extended Cab...
We have a Garmin 350 that is simply giving more poor info than good. Been using it for abt 4 yrs and have updated it on line. What is the list using? Brand and model? There is a Garmin3750 anyone have it? What abt TOM TOM are they better? CCC Left La. July 1 now in Wisconsen and enjoying it.
Hello, We just got our fifth wheel a month ago in Ohio and we live in Canada. When we piked it up on june 26th we stayed on a camping close to the dealer for 5 days to take care of small issues. One of them was the DVD player, the thing is that the picture jumps about every two or three seconds. The dealer chan...
In Texas, voter registration is a ticket to jury duty. Permanent exemption can be claimed if you are 70 or older. How do you respond to jury summons when traveling if you are younger than 70?
As the forum says... introduce yourself. Here Goes, My name is Mike, wife is Tara. I am 42 and she is 38, we are starting to think about moving to 3/4 time RVing within about 8 years. We had a truck camper, used it several weeks a year, then moved to a cabin. Within three years we went back to a truck camper....
I would like a manual that would be useful for a new full-timing family. Not just a campground directory although we need that too-but all the tips for living on the road full time. Topics such as road-schooling, budgeting (we are not rich), storing food and supplies in the motorhome, tips for a new d...
I currently have a 3G aircard with Sprint that I use while traveling. I also have a plan that allows unlimited nationwide usage for right at $60 a month. Id like to set up a wireless network in the rv in prep for going fulltime, but seems I need to switch to a USB aircard. What I also gain if 4G coverage whe...
Anybody have a good recommendation for a campground very near to Acadia National Park? I really wanted to stay in the park but it appears that there's a length restriction of 35 feet, our 5ver is 37 feet so it looks like we'll need to stay outside the park. I saw some good ones at RVParkReviews.com but wa...
The only way my house batteries are getting charged is by running the engine, and I lack the knowledge and energy so far to identify and resolve the problem. Have a Freedom 20 Combi Inverter/Charger, and a Freedom/Heart Interface Remote Control Panel. The panel is not recognizing that shore power...
Because of all the problems along the gulf coast I am considering spending some winter months on the Atlantic coast. Does anyone know of campgrounds in SC, Georgia, or northern Florida that you would recommend. Thank you for your help.
We are ordering our new Sea Eagle 370 this week but would like some input on the seats to get with it. I read that several of you have the Sea Eagle but there was no comments on the seats. Do you prefer the canoe seats that sit low in the boat and come with the deluxe package or the jet-boat deluxe kayak seats...
This may sound really stupid, but I am wondering how you guys deal with dishes/pots/pans with a relatively small sink? I admit I am dishwasher spoiled-any tricks to make my transition easier?
As you may know, our first workamping gig was cancelled, so we are not going to WI. We put down our anchor here at Town and Country RV Park in Sikeston, MO Saturday afternoon. It is a Passport America park. We found out Sunday AM via email that we had no work in WI. (Not even a phone call ....sheesh) Half...
The owner of the park today happened to mention to Dave this morning we could do some work around here to knock off some of the rent. "Send your wife to come talk to me." Went down to visit with him and in return for mowing/weedeating/weeding/keeping the trees/plants irrigated and clean...
I have made reservations at Surf City Family Campground for August 2 for 4 nights. I was wondering if anyone had stayed there before. I know that it is close enough to the ocean that you can supposedly here the waves breaking.
Hi Folks, I have a nubee question that's been rattling around in my head. I read a post on a different forum about someone complaining about people abusing the walmart lots for boondocking. They complained about the fact that the people had extended their leveling jacks, which sunk into the pavement...
We are almost ready. We won't be full timers, but half timers for now. For a number of medical reasons, Lou can no longer take the cold. For the winters and early spring we will be living in the RV, hopefully travelling for the most part, then back to Connecticut to enjoy the four kids, their spouses an...
We have a Sylvania flat-screen HDTV in the living room and a Prima monster (big baby) HDTV in the bedroom. Both came with the rig. We are hooked up via cable provided at the park to what I believe is a satellite system...DISH or DirecTV, etc. Any idea why the picture quality is sooooo much better in the...
I am not even sure if this is what you call it but I was reading a post on another forum topic here and they mentioned they bought a used Endeavor. Wanting to see what they look like I googled it and went to the manufacturers website which of course had the new models. Looking at the 40 plus footers, there was...
We are here in Sikeston, MO and just got an email from the KOA in WI that their business has not been up to par and they do not need us. Wonderful. What a great first experience workamping! I have emailed some leads but wondering if anyone knows of anything worth pursuing that gives pay plus site, between...
