Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
will be in elkhart,in sometime in june. looking foe nice rv park for our 37 ft 5wheel,wont to see area and go to some rv manufactors, tours any info would be appreciated.
Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, IN has a very nice campground with full hook ups. Easy in and out for big rigs but centrally located in the area. Allot of rallies are held there so you might want to call and see if any are going on during the dates you are looking wanting to stay. Would recommend reservations since this is a county park, the fair office is only open 9 -5.

The Fairgrounds are fine for “a place to stay.”Zero “it” factor as you would expect. There is a train track right next to them but it wasn’t terrible. However, this is a main line track. It is open all year round and is about the only choice in the off season.
Another place is the Elkhart Campground up to the North of the city and North of I-80: 25608 CR 4 E, Elkhart IN 46514 (574)264-2914. It’s “just a place to stay,” but is fine for the purpose. When we stayed there was some youth activity on Friday and Saturday night in the clubhouse. While pretty loud, it didn’t last too late. There is an RV dealership / store next door for typical supplies.
In our opinion it’s 6 of one, ½ dozen of another, your choice. We’ve stayed both places after having work done at MOR-ryde.MOR-ryde does provide free parking and 30 amp power when you’re having work done and they don’t mind an extra days stay.So we’ve used them a lot.
There are others in the area but we never found anything much better, only different to not so good. Maybe someone has a better experience which we would like to know about as well
Safe Travels

Here is the RV Park Reviews listing for Elkhart. If you look at the box on the upper right you can see what is also available in the area. Carriage down in Millersburg allows free overnight full hook up camping if you take their factory tour. I would recommend it.
Have a great time, we did a week down there when we were first looking and took many factory tours. Also don't miss the RV Museum.
We like, and have stayed at, the Elkhart Campground right off of the toll road there (80-90?) at exit 92. It is well run and well maintained. It is very convenient to the RV/MH Hall of Fame which is an excellent stop for any RVer. http://www.rvmhhalloffame.org/ Your hosts are Bob and Gita as well as their entire family, older and younger. They get quite busy during the busy Summer season so be sure to give them a call and make a reservation.
