Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have a 2014 New Horizon 5th wheel and need to remove our rear frameless window to get the new couch in. How difficult will this be and any suggestions on the process? Should I just hire someone from a local repair shop? Thanks for your help.Mike
Hey Howard and Linda! We (Ed and Barbara from the Fall rally) may attend the Mobile RV show. Wondering if you guys are planning to be there. Just wanted to pass this on. We fought the contaminated fuel problem in our 6.7 diesel and when the COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM had to be replaced we were about to be drained of a lot of green backs. Luckily the Ford dealerships Service Department manager was a good ole boy. He said that its a valid claim for our c...
Anyone else have a Fuzion FZ416 with the 16' garage & double bunks, who've added a washer? I am trying to fit a washer in my rig. Contacted Keystone & the dealer I bought from and they have no definitive answer. Where the washer/dry hook up is, there is only a 20" (tight) clearance between the wal...
Just a quick question to see if anybody else has this configuration. In my Grand Design Solitude, I have a Winegard Trav'ler antenna, connected to both of the internal TV's (living area and bedroom). Both tv's have a Wally box. The one in the living area is rock solid. The one in the bedroom never sees a...
Has anyone towed this model? What tow vehicle do you use? We currently have a 2008 Ford F250 6.4l Turbo Diesel with airbags and are wondering if anyone has real life experience to share.
I've read through Barb and Frank's thread from July about Sleep Number mattresses and have a couple more questions before we buy ours. We'll be getting a standard residential model to replace our residential queen mattress. I measured our current mattress+foam topper height at 12 inches and will c...

My 2018+ travel plans focus is to visit zoos around the country. I've been fortunate enough to visit a few, and the San Diego Zoo and Denver Zoo stick out as having the best variety and beauty in their enclosures and the animals themselves. What are the must-see zoos you have attended? Do you have a n...

Hello all. I am new to this forum.I want to full time when I retire and have been researching RV's. We have our 2000 Fleetwood 32 foot Storm motor home, on our first trip. We consider this our "first, inexpensive RV". - $17000 cash, 24000 miles, in GREAT shape. We did new tires of course, and had cab a/c fixed, etc. First rain this trip, and NOW we are noticing a wet stain in our back bedroom closet und...
My wife and I attended the fall RV-Dreams rally in Sevierville and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We went because we wanted to gain information as we have been looking at RV's with the intent to purchase one with full-timing in mind. There was a drawing for door prizes and we won one of them. We en...
Since there are a few Ram 5500 owners regularly on this forum I thought I would see if I could get a little feedback on insuring a Ram 5500 Hauler Truck. New Horizon Majestic is now complete and we have plans to head to Classy Chassis in approx three weeks to pick up our new Ram 5500 Hauler Truck and then over...
Recently read an article in the daily RV News about Olympian Wave Catalytic heater. We found them of course under Amazon and invested in one to replace our electric fireplace which is not useable when boondocking. Very please so far with the results of it. Doesn't set off CO alarm. When we first used it...

Apologies in advance for this long winded request for some guidance on your taxation laws and who is truly in the know on FIRPTA we can speak with direct. We have been on the road for two months as full-timers and we are spending our first winter in Florida. Currently we are in the Ocala area and the weather forecast is calling for freezing temps at night over the weekend. Since this is our first winter experience, we are looking for advice on how to prep...
Do any of these have electricity? We've stayed at several COE campgrounds and have always been able to have a site with at least 30A electric service. We thought we'd like to try a forest service campground, but so far haven't found any with electricity, much less water and sewer. We're looking at the n...
