Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Here is the final schedule for the RV shows where we will be presenting seminars in 2018. Note: These shows are all being promoted by the Good Sam Club under their GSEvents affiliate. Therefore, Good Sam members with an active, current membership get half price admission. If you are not a Good Sam mem...

Hi guys, I'm the newest member of the crew. For my background, I'm a Web Designer at Petstreetmall which is an online store that sells pet supplies. My hobbies are playing computer games, watching sci-fi movies, and reading books. I do hope to get along with everyone.
We had some time to kill today so we drove through several RV Parks in the North part of Mazatlan. This is high season for the RV parks in Mexico and I wondered how full they would be in mid January. The first three of the five parks were 100% full. Two of those parks are waterfront on the Sea of Cortez, the...
The front tires on my 5500HD are wearing unevenly…both are wearing more on the outside edge. I run the factory recommended air pressure and the alignment is not off according to the RAM dealer. Bill Napier and I were talking about this today…and he suggested that flipping them might be the answer to eq...
Other than moving the fridge, how to ?
I'm talking about the cheap plastic hose that drains the water from defrosting. I've considered a modification, remove the funnel like piece, attach a quality hose to the drain pan and sticking it thru the hole where the funnel was.
Hey all, We are going to be travelling from Del Rio, TX to Mesa, AZ in a few weeks. Our plan is for three days/two nights on the road. Our first day of travel would reasonably take us to Van Horn, TX. In researching that location, I found a number of posts that indicate the town will ticket RVers who overnigh...
Hello,
My wife and I own a 2015 Keystone Montana 3610RL FIFTH WHEEL.
Recently we have had pooping noises and associated vibration from our two front (of 6) hydraulic leveling jacks. The jacks are manufactured by Lippert.
I wondered if anyone on this site has experienced the same with their Lipp...
I learned something new today over on another forum. A participant there asked the question about something between the switches for electric and gas with regards to the hot water heater. He had seen the letters "DSI" with a red indicator light between that and the letters "FLT.&...
We have recently completed our 5th year of fulltime travel!! Each year we do a summary and share it in hope we can pay back a little for what we were able to learn by reading what info others would share like Howard and Linda have done for so many years. We hope you enjoy it and we hope even more that it helps s...
We are enjoying our first winter as full timers in Florida. We are primarily staying at state parks - moving every two weeks. We discovered that birds seem to love our rig. At the last state park (Myakka), we had a kamikaze cardinal that flew into our windows starting at the crack of dawn. It wasn’t o...
I recently joined my wife in needing a CPAP. She is on her third machine, a Philips Respironics System One REMstar Plus CPAP Machine with C-Flex, and I have a new Resmed AirSense™ 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine with HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier. Both run with a heated humidifier, which we both use every nig...
Hey, all! Glad to see this community. We are looking at a 24 foot Class C motor home as first RV. Thought to gain some more knowledge first before we pull the trigger. I'll be reading around.
I'm planning on phasing in solar to my new Venture Sport Trek TT. 1st phase: Change battery from 12 volt to (2) 6 volt T-105 golf cart batteries. Welding on support on front for holding them in position. The wiring to the battery is 8AWG. Not sure if that's satisfactory for now. I know I will have to jump...
In my S&B, as I brushed my teeth this morning, leaving the water running as I did so, I wondered . . . when you're boondocking (or even otherwise) how do you modify your water use habits? Here on the Kansas interstates, there are many dump stations at the rest stops, though they're n...
Hello. Currently a wannabe, doing as much reading as I can about all the topics that go into the lifestyle. Here are a few conclusions we've come to, in a vacuum, but with massive reading to help us understand everything, from changing to LED lighting, to using gray water to flush to toilet (hey, you're...
Hello, I've been living a sedentary lifestyle which is not really good for health and well-being. My wife and I are planning to take outdoor activities to re-energize my life and become more active. We both don't do well or excel in sports that's why we chose activities such as kayaking, camping, biki...
Greetings, How do you pack wine glasses so they don't break in transit? DW is pretty flexible and has few demands but one of them is enjoying her afternoon wine in real glass stemware - no plastic, paper, styrofoam. As for me I could suck it up and have my Manhattan in a solo cup but a rocks glass is certai...
We were contacted Saturday by some of our RV-Dreams family about the Manatee Festival at Crystals Springs, Fl. We meet our friends at the 2016 Spring RV-Dreams Rally. Have keep in contact as we all travel around the U.S. We all meet yesterday and enjoyed the Manatee Festival. Nice time seeing the Man...
I am looking for a woman's hiking boot that has ankle support and works for a wide foot and high arch. I want lightweight and material that breathes. Anyone with this foot type using a particular brand? It's a big investment so want to make sure I get it right. Trace
Selling our composting toilet that we used for 6 months (urine bottle not included, that thing got tossed!). We have THOROUGHLY cleaned the toilet.Originally purchased for $960. Only reason we are selling it is because we no longer live in an RV $700 OBO (willing to email pictures if interested!...
We just bought a 1999 National Dolphin Class A. We don't want to use the furniture that is already there. When we take it out do we need to store it for resale down the road? Julie
Just joined, sticking my head in to introduce myself. Been camping for 30 some years with hubby and kids, but now on to a different adventure. As his Parkinsons became worst I picked up the slack so he could still travel. I learned to do it all, still the entertainment occasionally when I back into a spot...
We bought a Bighorn 3570RS from a dealer just outside of Portland, OR. Now we need to go out there and bring it back to Sioux Falls, SD....in January! Does anybody have any route recommendations for us? Obviously we will watch the weather but if anyone has traveled that particular route (or close to...
