Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My hubby & I intend to start FTing in 2010. I like to think ahead, be prepared & have all my bases covered. So I'm trying to come up with a timeline from now to Fall 2010 with the major milestones of what needs to be done to go on the road. But I'm not really sure about what does need to be done when. ...
We're selling our 2008 Honda Fit Sport that we previously used as a towed vehicle behind our motorhome. It's all set up for towing with a Blue Ox baseplate. When the towing tabs are removed the baseplate is barely noticeable. Wiring is a Blue Ox diode kit that uses the car's own tail lights. Weighing...

Hi, We just bought our first 5th wheels. We also have a brand new super duty F-350 that came with a bed liner. Next step is to have the RV dealership install a hitch, but... when I was talking on the phone today with a guy from the service department, he told me they will remove my liner. I do not like this idea...
We are looking to upgrade our 5ver. We have a debt score (Credit Rating) of 804, and we are finding out that banks are turning loans down if you say you are fulltimeing. If we were to still own a residence there would not be an issue. Sounds as though we will get a loan, just have to put more down than anticip...

I have a 30 amp system on my boat. The boat is plugged in April 1st thru October 30th. During the mid summer with all airconditioners running etc my voltage would drop to 95 and less. I had a voltage booster installed in my dock box which is working great. Now however, during the spring and fall when th...

We have a 1997 37' Class A Itasca with a tag axle. We have a light on the dash that lets us know if our air ride suspension thingy is low on air. It usually goes out within a minute of starting the engine. However, it is now lit full time and the ride was very rough meaning we don't have the air suspension....

Woke up Friday the 30th of March with extreme pain in my shoulders, chest, arms and hands tingling. Arrived at the hospital about 1 hour later and was rushed to Triage. Here it was the massive heart attack that we are warned about. I wasn't even afraid that I was literally dying! My fear was that I was n...

I'm wondering about the value/benefit of dinette cabinets that I see in a lot of MH & 5er floor plans. How useful are they? Is the storage in that location worth it? Is storage convenient to access? It seems to me that you might lose some space? I would love to hear the pros & cons.
Thanks,

Not sure where to put this question but here it is. It's a cleaning question. We have a small cannister vacuum that fits in the space where the washer dryer would be if we had one. BUT this vacuum just doesn't cut it on the carpets. Not enough suction power. We don't have a broom/coat closet in which w...
Now I am really excited! This is gonna make me wanna pack my "stuff" faster then ever! We were offered a Camp Host position today, that I think for our first real official gig is a pretty good deal. The best part is that our first job is only about 45 miles from our home. So it will be a good s...
