Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hey Howard, I woke to check email, this board, etc., with a new message from "Celinesky." After reading this message, it's obviously spam. Can you assist with this matter?
After 3+ years of having our house on the market, and 3 different Realtors, we finally received an offer on our house!!! WOO HOO!!! It was a good offer, too, so we quickly accepted it! It was quite a shock, as we hadn't had a single showing since we signed on with realtor #3! The buyer is overseas, an...
We;re having issues with our hot water heater. We can get the pilot lit and the flame to work, but we still don't have any hot water. Kevin is a relatively new RVer and I've never had a hot water heater that only works on gas. We've had it in to the shop and they said they fixed it. Any ideas about what we'r...
I was interested to read on this forum that several people considered their portable icemakers to be essential. My husband is a serious soda drinker and must have his ice. I did a lot of reading and one called New Air seemed to have very high ratings. We are now trying out unit number 4 and have yet to ge...
We are leaving Maysvile, NC Friday and headed to Blue Ridge, GA with a side trip to Johnson, TN near KingsPort. I understand I-26 may be a little tough going up/down across state line at Sam's Gap. Also, our approach to GA from Asheville, NC will be on US 60 to GA Spur 60. Link of proposed route is provided...
Has anyhone considered working for Cracker Barrell part time? I won't be working for CB when we retire in Sept., as I have another work idea I plan to do while travelling. I discussed working part time for CB with the manager of the local CB here in our home town. Here's what he said as close to as I remem...
Hello RV Dream-er's. We're full timers. We chose a travel trailer so we could move as needed and not lose our home. I'm glad we found this site! You've already helped us and you didn't even know it. My partner is old-hat to full timing, I'm new to this and theres so much to learn about maintaining a trave...
Don't know if anyone will be able to help but here it goes. I have narrowed my choice of internet access to two methods. The big question now, is one method better than the other? Both will probably be with Verizon, cost will be the same. I will use the method for full time Internet access while at...
Hi - I of course am just kidding - but wanted this to grab some eyes. Lots of you folks tow a toad behing your Class A or Class C. I've been looking on line for some help but------ FWD - 4WD - rear wheel drive - car - suv - pickup truck --- Oh C**P! It is soooooooooooo confusing!! How about letting some o...
For those Chevy Lovers, we picked up our 2012 Chevy 3500HD on 10 Oct and everything happened as it was suppose to. Dealership done a great job installing the CM Hauler Bed, and the in-bed 45 gal fuel tank. They are move the Trailer Saver TS 3 to the 2012 and installed the Duraflaps on the rear of the Haul...
I am pretty sure this topic has been discussed on here before, but the search didn't come back with it. I have been reading a lot lately on the t'internet, it seems that the answer usually comes down to personal preference. I know that there are a few places that cannot accomodate some of the larger rigs...
Just purchased an 05 Country Coach Allure 470. Apparently our 06 Toyota Tundra is not towable without a tow bar. We are considering renting a flatdeck trailer to tow it home, do you think this is our best option? Haven't looked into cost as yet.
I will try to stay non-political as possible! The ?: How many feel that high-level society is forcing the citizens to convert to alternative energies? I believe change is good in most cases; trying to force the average citizen to make the changes seem quite unaffordable for most. The basic R...
According to the company, "True to our original concept of designing hitches that allow truck owners to 'use' their truck when not towing, our engineers tackled the 5th Wheel RV Hitch design. Most conventional 5th Wheel Hitches use an 'in-the-bed' rail system for fastening the hitch to the tr...
We are moving up with our goat from a pt cruiser to a wrangler. We believe we need to tow the jeep with all 4 down. What I want to know is can I run the wiring for lights etc from the M/h right back to the rear and plug into the light conection on the jeep. I know this would be a longshot but would save a lot of hassl...
Just popping in to ask anyone for any feedback on experience with Country Coach, Allure 470 2005? Also any feedback on Dealer "RV Wholesale Outlet" (currently operating out of Quartzsite) would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes the new adventure has begun. Joan and I left our family and friends, our house (not home) and all things familiar to us on Monday 3/19 headed for Oregon. We're learning quickly that it's not a matter of 'if' something will happen; it's more a matter of 'when' something will happen. During the drive b...
You guys seem pretty knowlegable about maintenance and such. The dealer that we are currently purchasing our RV from has been extremely helpful with advice on maintaing our rig (30 ft. travel trailer). My question is: Do you guys have any advice as to what we need to look for when searching for storage...
We are just starting to look at motor homes to retire in. We would like a 36 or longer diesel pusher but new they are way out of our price range. We don't think we would be happy in anything smaller. What kind of problems have people had with motorhomes over 5 years old. I would think the power train is goi...
No it's not Adam West & friends, it's Greg & Jean Munoz from Spring, Tx. and we are in the staging process for the BIG BAT FLIGHT TO FREEDOM..We are finally in the selling this and selling that stage. We recently pulled the trigger on a 2012 Chevy diesel dually and are awaiting the arrival of our...
Over the years, a few utensils or tools have proved to be more useful than others in my RV kitchen. My new favorite is a universal lid for pots and pans - sort of a 'one lid fits all'. What are your favorites? How do they make your RV kitchen life easier/faster/better/whatever?
I need some advice. Just returned from our first lengthy trip. Twenty-five miles from home, we totaled our lovely new 5th wheel. Now we think we will just use the older one we had previously since it hasn't sold. Two questions: 1) I got to really love the convection microwave in the new unit. Old...
We have spent the last 8 days boondocking and trying out our new rig. I happy to report everything went fantastic, we had a great time and we came back "home" today. After parking our rig we went into our S&B house and did the usual things we do after a camping trip like bring in the laundr...
I will be traveling from CA to AZ and then later to TX for my 1st Workamping job. I was wondering if it is appropriate to put slides out overnight or not. I would rather not spend the extra $$ to stay in a CG to just sleep. I can dry camp as I have solar and would have just enough water as necessary. Any comm...
Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but it looks like a great source of info with a lot of great folks!
I have a consulting job which requires me to travel most weeks. I usually fly out Monday and home Thursday nights. The clients really don't care where I'm coming from, so I'm thinking this could work with a mob...
