Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
What can you tell me about the benefits of a lifetime warranty some dealers offer with new trucks? All scheduled maintenace must be performed by ase certified mechanic on time and pre-approved if not at dealer of purchase (which won't be possible). does this include rotating tires on a dually? do y...
Hi - I am working from home (5th wheel) and need reliable Internet daily. Right now I use the "hotspot" at the park. But would like something mobile that doesn't cost several thousand dollars 😊.
I talked to AT&T and it sounds like that might work.
Any knowledge and information apprec...
Anyone have one of these, and what's your story? I just got one, I know it's more a "novelty" size, but it should charge a battery just fine. The instructions are rather minimal, so I'll put it together myself, but any advice on installing to the trailer electrical system? Jane (Greenie M...
I have always had an electric stove/oven and lighting this pilot light on my oven is freaking me out. I hate it. My husband can do it cause he is left handed and it is easier for him to reach. At least that is my excuse! Anyway I can't always wait for him to be here to light the darn thing so my question is how...
I have a Sharp Microwave Convection oven and the racks were missing when we bought the motorhome. Does anyone know where I can get replacements. I have looked online and the prices seem too high. Thanks!
I have read through the other thread regarding people's likes/dislikes about convection vs propane ovens. As we only have the convection (and all that lovely storage!), we will need to fall in love with it post haste! Tips? The other thread mentions to decrease temp by 25 degrees-so if the recipe say...
Just wondering if anyone has heard if the Fiat Ducato is to be introduced into the US market - as a competitive option to the Mercedes Sprinter? Would love to see it, as it is used in Europe on smaller motorhomes - lovely machine.
We have a question about insuring the current car before we purchase the fiver and truck. Plan is to have SD drivers licence and address and still be in NJ after settlement on the house, settlement is in the next few weeks. We will stay with friends until we purchase and register the fiver and truck in SD a...
Hi All I am looking for some feed back from both gas powered motorhomes and diesel motorhomes owners. How are they on power, towing a toad, gas mileage and anything else. We live in the Pacific Northwest so we go over mountain passes a lot of the time. Thanks Thumper
The vinyl graphics and such are pretty much cracked and beyond pretty on our 1996 Carri-Lite. The Florida sun did a great job of bleaching and fading the exterior and everything attached. Last spring I did a Red Max Pro waxing on the exterior and it did great to restore the gelcoat but the decals still...
I found a website that looks pretty interesting, so I thought I'd share. It's http://parks.mapquest.com It lists all the US National Parks, gives an overview about the park, activities you can participate in, wildlife you might see & some history about the park. I've had some fun just lookin...

I'm getting ready to order one of these to replace the little pencil type I've had in the glovebox for years for the new rig…any particularly good or bad brands? Looking at them on Amazon results in a plethora of brands but I don't really recognize any of them. I've seen recommendations for a "truc...

We received the word this week that our 13 year old beloved dog, Berry, is in renal insufficiency. Our long time vet (we're currently at "home base") has prescribed two differenet medications for her as well as a special renal diet. Of course when we leave here in two weeks we will have a su...
Some of you probably are wondering what ever became of George Stoltz, aka Foxriverguy. Well, he and Sandy sold their 40' Foretravel motorhome in October of 2011 and moved to Invernes, FL to look for a permanent home. We are happily settled into our new community. We will continue to travel this summe...
We've started the process of slowing paring down all our kitchen appliances, dishes, etc. in preparation for full time RV'ing. I've got a list of everything that is going in the June garage sale and not coming back into the kitchen. One thing we're wrestling over is the kitchen knife set. We investe...

I posted here last year when we made our mind up that RV/workcamping was what we wanted to and was very excited even though it was something that wasn't going to happen for 5/6 years down the line (now 4/5). I'm a British gal and just love this country and want to see it ALL lol. So here I am again even more...
I paint still life & landscape in acrylic - been painting for 16 years now. Once we start RV-ing F/T, I plan on doing a lot of Plein Air painting - my wife is a writer and she will continue writing novels for children.
We are the happiest homeless people that you will ever meet!!! COE of escrow today! We are completely moved out and about 80% of our stuff is GONE! We are fortunate to have my mom's house here in Gilbert to move into for the next couple of months while we sell off our vehicles now. Next step, buy the truck an...
