Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
In our seasonal site heavily wooded, before the leaves came in the Kingdome was able to lock on, we have two TV,s. no HD. Hi, Are the axles on a 5er limiting issue of the posted manufacter max weight? Can you raise the limits by changing axles? (eg. 7000lbs to 8000lbs) The brakes could also be a problem. Scott
We don’t follow this blog because one of these full timers is physically challenged. They also post a lot of very useful information very informative to any physica...
Greetings Full Timers both in dreams and reality! We are still in the dream stage. I have actually been reading RV-Dreams since 2005! At that time we had a huge 38' fiver, and loved recreating in it. How do you Maintain your slide seals and or gaskets? Or do you maintain them at all.
Back when we had personal watercraft that we used in the ocean I would spray down the engine compartment and all rubber components with silicone spray. Silicone worked wonders in maintaining the rubber hoses and gro...

Looks like there is one pass but doesn't sound too bad. We did Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado this spring and it went ve...
Evergreen RV is a brand new company with an industry changing plan. We were so impressed with the floorplans and features that we actually purchased this one before it even arrived at the dealer. We saw one of the other models and he told us about this one being on order to arrive in a couple of weeks. W...

Choosing our new "house on wheels" have been an excruciatingly painful process. BUT... On Friday we ordered our 5th wheel. We are getting a Heartland Landmark San Antonio. We are getting all of the options built right in at the factory and I am so excited. This is the first 5W that I've fa...
Now that we are full time since February, I love my new lifestyle. However, the generator makes it happen running the tv, ac, computer, power tools as needed. I have just been curious about how many thousand hours one can expect from an Onan 5500 generator?
I need to get a portable antenna for our Direct TV setup to complement the Winegard on the roof; like Howard and Linda we'll park mainly in state parks so I'm sure that we'll need a portable dish a lot. Searching through the forums and reading Bill's TV presentation from last spring's rally it looks like...
We've been reading this site for years now but never posted on the forum. Had the pleasure of meeting Howard and Linda in the Ocala Supershow this past summer. What nice nice people! Looking forward to chatting and meeting you on the road. Chuck and Ann
We need to be in the Mountain View area, south of San Francisco for 3-4 nights in September to participate in an art show. Any suggestions on a place to stay? I'm finding mostly mobile home parks that don't have good reviews on Trip Advisor. Would love somewhere with laundry facilities as I'm sure we'...
Well, hello everyone! I am SOOO excited to be here!! I have been lurking for a while, and I understand in this day and age "lurking" is rude. So, it's probably time to go ahead and jump in. I was given the nickname "Mary Sunshine" way back in the 70's and it is the name I use when po...
Hi y'all! Nothing is busted or not working, but sometimes, my fuse box makes a sort of motor revving noise; is that normal, and what is it? Nothing ever happens when it does it. I have a new 2012 TT, so it's not old. It's just wierd. Thanks! Jane
Went on first RV outing last weekend. When attempting to empty the gray tank after the black tank, we couldn't get the water to flow throught the hose. Had to keep lifting and jiggling the hose to get the water to flow along the tube and into the sewer hole. Can anyone offer advice? Was this an issue o...

We are looking at a 2000 Mountain Aire 4060. It's at Camping World of Indianapolis. Their asking 70,000 and we offered 65,000. They won't tell us if they accept our offer unless we give them $1000 deposit. I told the salesman we wanted to drive the MH before we get finanially involed. He said they n...
