Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have a 2006 F350 Super Duty 6.0L that I bought used. I use this as a daily driver and to tow a 13.5K RV. It had an electric brake controller already installed (hardwired in under dash). I want to replace this with a P2 Prodigy that came with a plug-n-play connection but I can't find the plug under the dash....
The wife and I have 2010 laredo 5w with the outside kitchen and love it. We replaced the short gas struts for the factory 36' struts mounted on the countertop not the walls. Our current dilema is now when we are at a campground that has older 30 amp electrical hook-up, with weak breakers or bad wiring, wha...
I see alternators spec'd from 160 amps on lower priced units, up to 220 amps on higher priced units. I know what an alternator does, how much difference would going to a higher amped alternator make? I can only guess that the higher amped alternator would charge your batteries faster, but only when y...

Pete is only 4 years from retirement but we don't see any need (big pensions, whatever) to wait. It is only in the last 6 months that we have come to the decision to do thi...

So…just how hard is it going to be to get into Canada with the 5ver this fall? When we leave the DC area in July we're heading up to the Hudson River Valley area for a concert and sightseeing; and Connie has this wild hair that we should continue up to Montreal for these two bike races. That means we'll have t...

Hello All, My wife and I are super excited about our future plans to Full Time. We have 5 more years before my pension starts. We hope to have everything ready before then. We currently have a TT, but I want a 5th wheel. My husband is insistent on wanting to get a golf cart so that would nix my whole 5th wheel plan. I don't like the toy haulers, to me they all look like a garage throughout. I want one with a bedroom and 1/2 bath in back like the Montana 346LBQ. I want more livin...

I would like to start some kind of blog, etc. to keep my family and friends up-to-date on our travels (when the day comes). What is the best way to do that? I have never "blogged", don't have Twitter or Facebook, so what is your advice? Any pointers and/or suggestions would be greatly appr...
Hi All, We just ordered our new 5th wheel and want to have solar put on it. Is there anyone place or anyone to talk to about what are the best panels to get, converter, batteries and what ever else you need to get this done. We are pretty clueless so any help would be great. Thanks
I just want to inform everyone if they are thinking of selling their MH or TT not to get involved with National Multi List. They make promises and could care less if they sell it or not. I was to get half the fee back in 90 days if it was not sold and all I got was a bunch of lies. So save your money and stick with eb...
For those of you that drive motorhomes I have a questions on propane. How and when do you fill your propane tank? Unlike trailers and 5th wheels you can't take these big tanks out. Do you mainly fill at truck stops when filling with diesel or? Do camprounds have the ability to fill these tanks either on...
