Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

The Most Difficult Part So Far

Choosing our new "house on wheels" have been an excruciatingly painful process. BUT... On Friday we ordered our 5th wheel.  We are getting a Heartland Landmark San Antonio.  We are getting all of the options built right in at the factory and I am so excited.  This is the first 5W that I've fallen in love with.

We are expecting to go and pick it up in a couple of weeks.  Should be quite an adventure for a couple of RV rookies to drive home from Indiana. ashamed

We'll keep you posted on the progress.

Rosie

Woohoo! I bet you are so excited. You'll like your Heartland..other RV Dreamers we know have one, and are very pleased with it. Good luck picking it up and starting your adventure :)

if you get the chance I would reccomend a tour of the factory. This will give you some insight on the building process and a better understanding of the componets hidden under the panels.

The Heartland owners group has a rally each year in Goshen Indiana. They have factory reps attending and, from what I hear from friends who own them, they go door to door making any repairs needed on your unit. Well worth attending just for this service and yes, even your new unit will need repairs, just the "nature of the beast" in the RV world.

Good luck and congrats on your purchase, it's an exciting time. Enjoy!

Phil

Rosie,
If you're not already on it, Heartland has a very active website, the Heartland Owners forum that is very informative. As Phil said, we have a rally every other year in Goshen IN and a factory tour that is very interesting. This year's rally is being held in Gillette WY on June 14-17th. There are local rallies that you can also find on the forum portal page.

Enjoy your new trailer and hope to see you on the road soon.
