Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello! My husband and I are multi-award-winning indie filmmakers and avid RV enthusiasts! I'd love to produce a show around a subject that's dear to my heart like traveling in an RV. We even have a cable channel that might have some interest in it if we find the right concept. If you have a compelling sto...
Dale is hoping to hit the road in early April, driving to OK to pick up our 5'ver and bring it home. I know the mountain pass laws in WA and OR require carrying tire chains through April 1. Anyone know of a site that lists these requirements for all states or am I going to need to search on each state's DOT s...
Our online estate auction is winding down today and it looks like the vast majority of our furniture will be sold! We've also sold some smaller "stuff" but still have many more cupboards, dressers, closets, etc. to empty. Trying to decide whether to try one big garage sale to get rid of a...
I was casually talking with a dealer today and mentioned that once the DW retires I'd be setting us up as an LLC maybe thru Montana. He said that he'd had several deals fall thru once the finance company found out the buyer was setup as an LLC. Has anyone had/heard of this being an issue. I'm looking at may...

We took everyone's advice to buy the coach first, then decide on a truck First - Dynamax Trilogy 3850 D3 -- I have read al...

We are trying to find a portable sattelite Tv dish that is easy to use. It has to be compact as we do not have too much room to store it. Also are the ones where you have to find the signal difficult to set up ? I have heard that it is almost impossible to find the signal manually. thanks for all replies .... Alan...

Hello everyone, We are getting ready to purchase a new towbar and braking system. I have talked to a few people and got qoutes from a few shops and am trying to figure out what others thoughts were. Hey from lovely northern Georgia! We pulled the trigger today, after reading every article, book, blog, forum and looking at what seems like thousands of options, today I won $50 on a scratch off and considered that a good sign. We bought a 2013 Forest River Flagstaff Classic Lite 5-er. Every deal...
For those that maybe considering driving thru Arizona, please make sure you avoid Goodyear, AZ and here is why. It seems that their LEO's are a bit over zealous in writing tickets to visitors. One of our friends from the Montana's Owner Club forum was driving thru their town when he was pulled over for n...
The little woman & I are going to try dry camping for the first time in our (new) 5W at Quartzsite with other couples. As a first-timer I've been stressing over power. Our 5W has only one battery installed and I have a Honda EU3000i genny. So here's my question: Would it do me any good to leave my tra...
Does anyone know what laws the different states have dealing with safety chains between a tow dolly and the vehicle towed on the dolly ? I know the vehicle has to be fastened down with tie down straps but are safety chains required as an additional safety measure ? Thanks....Alan
While we are still in the wanabee stage, we are trying to get answers to many of our questions. We have two medium size dogs and wonder what you other dog owners do with your pets when you want to jump into your toad and go see some of the area attractions. This may sound dumb, but are you comfortable leaving...
This post is meant to be a quick primer for all you RVers out there that may be still be in the learning stages of this whole Social Media revolution. We still have email and standard websites to plan our RV trips and communicated back home and with each other. But there is a great slew of new web technologi...

I'm sure like many over 50ish, prescriptions start becoming part of the routine. Have you had to get a Dr. in each State to fill the p...

Cellphone-Mate just announced that they've released their 65dB Tri-Flex amplifier for Verizon (AT&T/Sprint also available) that supports 2G/3G and 4G LTE. It's a 65dB gain amp, which is a little high for an RV application, but you can adjust the gain on each frequency 700/800/1900 so for RV's...

Hello Everyone.. We are about 4 months in to full time rving. Been located here at El Paso the whole time. Our waterpressure recently has gone to nearly null in the kitchen, shower and toilet. We found a beautiful 2007 Cardinal that Ken fell in love with and very low in price BUT the previous owners smoked in the Unit. So much so, the AC vents are yellow . Other than this issue, it is in excellent condition and was very well cared for. Anyone know if this smoke odor can be completely eliminate...
Shurflow 5.7 pump stopped working. Been too cold to work on it, had 4" snow today and 1.69" of rain yesterday. I did a quick look at it appears there may be a fuse in the wiring to the pump. Is it normal to have a fuse at the pump? There is a fuse in the coach for the pump that I checked and it's ok....
