Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I don’t think we have posted a link to our blog here yet so here it is. http://daveanddiane.wordpress.com/ We certainly are not the most exciting people on the block and we don’t tend to travel very fast but I enjoy doing the blog anyway. Like I have told our friends back home,,, I’m far from a Hemmingway...
We have been fulltiming for three years now. We have a non HD DirecTV satellite dish on a tripod. When it was installed, the DirecTV installer told us not to get an HD satellite because it was much harder to locate the satellites with an HD dish. Our DVR is starting to go bad, so we need to replace it. We've s...

How does a Newbie find out which brands of Fifth Wheel RV's are High End, Mid Range and Entry Level ? It is becoming increasingly clear through my research that price is not always an indicator. I know a Lexus is a good quality auto and a KIA....well, not so much.... at least in comparison to the Lexus, bu...

I've seen several of you copy part of someone else's post and then comment on it. How do you do that so it's set apart like I've seen many of them? It's nice to be able to identify when you are quoting someone else. Thanks
I came across this product at a local medical supply store. The salesperson said everyone that tried it had great luck with the product. I bought some to treat a bedsore my Dad had developed. This bedsore had moved into a stage 4 ulcer. It was the size of a quarter and nearly 1/2 inch deep. I started usi...

Amazon has had their MP3 and Cloudplayer out for a while but they just came out with Autorip and I now have the music for 3 CDs we bought many years ago available on my phone and tablet. Autorip means they create digital copies, MP3s, in the cloud for CDs you buy. In the past Diane and I have bought music CD...

Once I have decided which STATE to domicile in, how do I go about figuring out where my street address will be? Is that what the mail forwarding services do?
In shopping for my new home, I have found numerous rigs whose major flaw is really worn and dated upholstery and floors. Flooring is easy but how about recovering (or replacing) attached furniture? Any comment or references to other posts will be appreciated!

Oh, I wanted to share this craziness with you. (Just in case any of you are thinking of building a custom RV or doing a major remodel) To get a good idea of how liveable my custom floor plan would be I taped out the entire floor plan in EXACT SCALE on my den floor. It has already saved me from making a few...
New member here. Just sold my old class A for a new Dynamax Trilogy 5th wheel. We keep kit in a campground a couple of hours away and use it for a weekend place. Not real happy with the new unit.
I think I've pretty much exhausted the RV /tow vehicle or MH research for now and therefore have to start worrying about the small stuff, like bugs (I previously posted about that, and your answers were great!). So here's another silly concern -- how to wash the dishes? Besides having a dish washer (w...
My G-mail account on my blog has been apparently hacked and apparent spam has been sent to folks in my address book. How does one rectify this? Thanks!

We've made it!! What a trial to get here. New tires, wheels, axles (axles were way out of line, so had to be straightened) that melted the brake lines, so that had to be fixed. Washed the trailer in antisipation to leave on Monday the 25th of March and found 2 small tears in the rubber roof. Had the ser...

I must not be a quick learner, I just bought another vintage camper today. LOL This one is a 1971-ish Shasta 1400 (14 foot) travel trailer. I need to have a place to stay up north this summer while I clean out the buildings on the farm, and the Caboose is obviously not going anywhere any time soon, so when I s...
Just read an article from PBS on Google News suggesting people to take their SS Money at 70. I have 7 1/2 months to go before I turn 62; Early check here I come. My reason was the severe heart attack I had last March. I'm getting some of that earnings back before I become part of the Earth if I survive long enou...
