Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So back on the road after a hiccup cost us a few months of sitting in one spot and we found an issue where we're going to need to open up the under belly and have one of the grey tanks checked. We'd like to do that work when we're in Floriday in March and April but finding a good repair place is a pain. My first th...
Well, I have been lurking for a while because I haven't had anything to share, really. As most of you know, my DH and I are caring for his 89 year old aunt who lives with us. I am eligible to retire in 20 weeks, but not so sure that will happen under these circumstances. (Only by the grace of God!) And, our...
We are just starting to plan for our eventual full time RV'ing. Trying to get a feel for the budget. We are buying our RV first, but I am looking a bit at the truck too. My questions so far are, is a 4 wheel drive important, or can we go with a two wheel drive? How about dual rear wheels, does the benefit ou...

We're so looking forward to the middle of April when he'll be retur...

As we keep sorting through stuff, garage sale, long term storage, gotta take it with us and the ever growing list of things to consider, can't make a decision yet, I know we're going to end up purging stuff right after we finally start our FT life. Just curious for those of you that are FT, what were some of...

I am not leaving the RV living as I'm nestled down in Lebanon, Tn. where I hope to get healthcare from the VA, most vets in the RV Park use them and are well-satisfie...

This is becoming an annoying issue. I've replaced the 1141 bulb for porch light (over the door) 3 times in two months. The 1141 bulb is what comes standard in the porch light. Bulb is rated for 12V. I've not measured voltage at socket yet. I suspect the voltage is higher than 12 V. Voltage at batterys is r...
Since I was gone for a few days and didn't check email I had a bunch of it built up that I've been going through. One email was from Woodstock Soapstone Company, the great folks that I bought my woodstove from. They're having their spring sale, and I noticed the Mini Franklin gas soapstone stove. That got...

It's me again with yet another newbie question. The fifth wheel that we are buying comes with a king pin that has round donut looking things filled with air which from what I am reading will help with chucking and provide a smoother ride. My question is, do we also need to get an air hitch for the truck be...

I map quested a route, and it is taking me on I80 most of the way, through Lake Tahoe, high mountains in N. Nevada, across to Salt Lake City, southern Wyoming, Nebraska.
