Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Film & TV Producer & fellow RVer looking for interesting stories and RV characters

Hello! My husband and I are multi-award-winning indie filmmakers and avid RV enthusiasts! I'd love to produce a show around a subject that's dear to my heart like traveling in an RV. We even have a cable channel that might have some interest in it if we find the right concept. If you have a compelling story to tell that involves you and your RV, especially if you are a full timer, or know of a compelling RV character or have a compelling story that involves your dream of RVing full time and wouldn't mind freely sharing with us, please reach out. But also please know that even if you share information with us, we aren't promising any compensation or even that the information will be used. There are lots of duplicate stories out there and shows like this are produced on pennies, so nobody gets rich.

But we can promise, as with any content we produce, stories that are told will be done so with heart and integrity and be of high quality. I hope we'll find the perfect compelling concept with heart upon which to base a show that all of America will not only enjoy, but will also take away positive messages from the show when viewed.

And, you never know, we might use your story or maybe even you! Thanks. :)

Get Howard & Linda Payne, owners of this website. They have a great story, see RV-Dreams.com home page or "Ask Howard" in this forum.

Good luck, lots of characters on here. Also consider Lucky Mike.

The driving might be exciting, the backing in to a space amusing, the hook-ups boring, the pack it all away to leave, boring.
BUT you could probably get hours of good film at a dump station on a Sunday afternoon!

Jim,

I'd be a bit concerned with the idea of filming the dump station episodes.  It might be that the dialogue wouldn't be appropriate for a "family movie."

The only input that I would have would be more in line with some of the places we've been, as our lifestyle would be pretty boring.

Terry, think about it... Replace the dialog with something completely unrelated and use voices that don't match the body or age and you could have a hit! I'm seeing a Japanese horror flick in my head. The dialog could be about politics. No wait, that matches too closely.

KathiLynn: I'm sure you might some who want their name in the spotlight; unfortunately most RVers that I know like to stick to themselves. I know my story would probably disgust every one so much that they would probably scrap their Televisions....

The best way for you both is to make a plan and start RVing. Once you do that you will gain experience.

I appreciate the advice, Pieere, but I can't personally experience everything I produce! lol. :) And if you knew some of the subject matters of my films, you'd totally agree!

Want to do something really unique? Keep it accurate and do NOT put any drama in it!

Agreed, Dog Folks.

Some of the best reality TV is ruined by introducing the drama.
