Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have a park model that supports a 50 amp power supply. Our site also has a 30 amp power supply available ... 2 "angle" connectors plus the ground. We are wanting to operate a washer inside the unit and hopefully a clothes dryer in an adjacent "shed". Can I use this 30 amp power s...

If you were considering digitizing your recipes, I would recommend looking at “Living Cookbook 2013”, if you use Windows. I recently researched some different software options and have been extremely pleased with my purchase. The software does a good job of capturing online recipes, exceeding m...
I've been hearing on various blogs that Montana is not particularly accomodating for overnight parking. Has anyone stayed overnight in the Walmart in Laurel, MT (off I-90, just west of Billings)? We'll ask when we get there, but I thought I'd see if anyone has previous experience with this locati...

I have a new 2013 Fusion 342 Toy Hauler that I want to protect from the elements. I have had previous 5th wheels and older covers which ripped within the first 12 months. What do you use (if you have a 5th wheel toy hauler) or even a 5th wheel. As info I live in the great northwest (Portland) so rain in the m...
Update, after 1 month of full timing and driving separately, we've decided we just don't like that. Dale misses having "mission control" sitting in the seat next to him researching camp options for a night when we're in route, restaurant options, site seeing opportunities, we don't li...
There is a new car wash in Goshen, Indiana that can wash dually trucks. It is a belt conveyor, not a chain conveyor. It has two 36" belts, one on the driver side and one on the passenger side. You simply drive onto the belts, put the truck in neutral and let it push you through. It works great!! An...

We are looking at fulltiming in a year or so. We have a Gold Wing that we love and want to have with us as we explore this beautiful country. We think the way to go for us is a 5th wheel, but that creates a challenge to keep the bike with us. I read parts of a thread posted several years ago about fulltiming in a...
I am a 50 something female seriously considering buying an RV to travel around in because I can work virtually. My kids are grown, out of the house now & I certainly need to get out and meet some people to fill my time. I thought I would start by renting an RV first to get a first hand feel for how I l...

Finally, the house has closed, the 3 art shows in July are in the books and we have the month of August to slowly meander our way to SD and set up our new domicile. So nice to finally sleep again, even forgot to set the alarm this AM, still woke up before I needed to start my work from home job, but just barely....
Some of you already know of the on-going story of our refrigerator problems and our search for a solution. It started with the idea of either repairing the Dometic that was malfunctioning or replacing it all together with a new Dometic. In that regards, we have a 7 year extended warranty on our Mobile S...
Since we got our new home for full timing I'm at sort of a quandary as to electrical protection needs. I know that a surge protector is almost a must but am wondering about i.e. a Hughes Autoformer? As yet I haven't run into any low voltage conditions in the campgrounds we've used. Once we start full timi...
About a year ago, when Howard and Linda's truck engine decided to step out for lunch, someone started a thread suggesting that we forum members pitch in with monetary support. I likened it to a magazine subscription. After all, this journal and forum are as entertaining and informative as as any ma...
What kind do you like and us? Our gal is used to yard so want to give her as much freedom we can but hate the tangled mess around the door and campsite. Thanks for your help, I'm getting so much information from this sight! Leslie

So I take the Fleetwood Fiesta to the Nevada DMV, and they say, "Where's the California registration?" I look around, and say, "Uh, I dunno... " The deal is, I was planning on taking off ASAP, and I used my Nevada forwarding address, expecting I could pick up the Cal. reg. when I g...

We're enroute across Montana, decided to Wally Dock and take some time to restock a few things, shopping in a state without sales tax (Whoo Hoo!!) Listening to the sound of the circling street cleaning device they are using on the parking lot and being thankful they are doing this at 10 PM, not 2 AM as Dal...
I have just completed the most harrowing ride of my life on Highwy 101.The road is like a roller coaster and it makes it very hard to maintain control, which is very important when the lane is 13 foot wide, the bridges up north are 12 foot wide and the lumber trucks own the road. The road has been patched to...
