Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Dreamers - Bill and Loretta (Loretta), Jim (CowDog353) Dale & Ruth (NWEscapee), Phil & Rudee (WorkinRVers), Alpine Inn, Hill City SD. Had a great time getting together tonight and sharing a few stories and laughs!!
My name is Mike, I am 43, married to my best friend, and "bonus" Dad to 4 awesome young people, ages 16, 18, 23 and 25. My wife Stacy joined this forum 4 years ago, not knowing when we'd ever get an RV, but hoping our dream would come true. Well, I'm happy to say that it came true a little over a week a...
We are thinking of Howard and Linda as they go through some trying times. Praying for Howard to get well quickly and be able to hit the road again. And for Linda, because health issues are always ...just plain scary. You guys are like family, and just remember, we are with you.
Darn Ain't I Smart !!I have spent the last 4 days messing with my Fantastic Breeze fan in the kitchen. It just quit and I in my wisdom thought "I can fix it" Rather than leave it at CW for 2 or 3 weeks, because I live in here full time. I know they will replace it for free, but it was a challenge and I ha...

Well, we're not in central FL right now. We're in Niagara Falls, but we live in central FL. I've been lurking on here for over a year and finally decided to join. Don't know what took me so long. I feel like I know some of you already, and this truly is a friendly forum, unlike some of the others I've been on. Y...
Finished with Canada and Alaska and heading south on the west coast. Would like to stay west side of Yosemite (boon docking in Hodgdon Meadows). In order to get there I would have to drive CA 120 and it looks pretty tight. Has anyone taken a big rig over the road? Have done a lot of ups and downs and curves bu...

Long story short. We moved to Alabama for a job. Local KOA is a parking lot, didn't look appealing. Found a campground out of town that looked quiet. Caters to dog people. Nice lady. Paid for 30 days. Bad idea. The bugs here are horrific. There are two RVS here that must be dog show people..........
What a wonderful experience and wonderful people. We had solar installed by someone which was way over his head with it. It has been a nightmare for us. If you recall, we fryed our Blue Sky solar box with water, Marv Braun to the rescue. After that happened, everytime we had to fill up our fresh wate...

Hi all! New to the site but been a camper for years. Tent to TT to 5th wheel. The wife and I have decided that times wasting and we need to go full time. Great site.
We've spent many many evenings gathered at the 180. It's the private area of the campground where we are camphosts -- the "locals" hangout where campfires are welcoming and conversations are genuine. (named the 180 because it's the mile marker on the river) Come November, we're leav...
On the forums I occasionaly read that a specific RV is not so rated. Is this rating a formalized, structured, legitimate rating system, or merely accepted, common knowledge amongst the more knowledgeable RVers? We've not yet taken the plunge but continue to talk about it. TIA Frank
I just finished my rainwater collection system, let's see what happens when it actually rains! I observed the flwo of water off the roof, and it's always a gentle trickle, never a torrent, so I think this will hold up. We're moving the trailer a short distance tomorrow, so I immediately get practice br...
With my broke foot on the mend it looks like we will be heading out from here in the Tacoma WA area in mid September. We have a service appointment in Junction City KS in early October. I'm thinking we will head down I90 and 84 to Salt Lake for a week or so then east to Denver for a week before heading across to K...
My cute little Toto the Xoloitzcuintli is shaping up to be an aggressive dog; he will try to go after, and he will try to bite. It looks like I may have to start walking him with a muzzle to avoid problems. He is particularly bad here, where we have been parked, because I think he has decided it's his "...
We have had Good Sam Insurance for more than 10 years and they just changed to National General. In this change, they converted us to "paperless" without our knowledge. I was wondering why we didn't receive our invoice so emailed them and never heard from them. As it turns out, the "...
There was one nurse that just drove me crazy. Every time she came in, she would talk to me like I was a little child. She would say in a patronizing tone of voice, "And how are doing this morning"Or 'Are we ready for a bath', or 'Are we hungry ?' I had had enough of this particular nurse. One day...

Hello all, My beautiful bride (The Frog Lady) and I started toying with the Idea that we wanted to get an RV a couple of years ago when we started a small business that we could take on the road and do part time out of it. The business is more of a hobby than anything, and I will retire from the Army in a few years...
In 25 years we have never had issues with mice. I am sure we are still mice free since we have evidence of a 6' snake making the RV his home. We found the skin in the storage outside. Inside there is snake poop. OMG!!! Until we know it is no longer in there and find out how it got inside I can't even th...
We need a way to get our old arthritic, and chubby dog into our RV. He weighs nearly 30 pounds and neither of us can lift him. The whole family has arthritis! We are hoping to start moving into our first RV in a week or so, and NOW it occurs to us that Shawn has to have steps to get onto the bed...he'll never m...
