Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hey Y'all! My name is Joe and my wife is Delores. We currently live in south east Georgia. We are about one year away from full timing as I cannot retire before March 1st of 2015. Anyway, we have a 5th wheel camper and are starting to plan. We will have many questions and hope not to ask too many that have alr...
We have traveled with Tazzy for 4.5 years, anywhere from 2 days to 1 month and now 7 months full timing. She's been a great travel kitty until our last relocation where she got a bit anxious and drooled and slobbered a bit. Luckily that was a short move. Now we're on a 3 day rapid, repositioning move due to...
The MH I recently purchased has 2 old CRT type tv's, my brother just gave me a 19 inch flat screen he no longer wanted. I want to replace the tv in the bedroom and can't get the FS tv to work when connected to the batwing antenna on the roof, it has an amplifier which I turn on and I know it works because both old t...
I'm selling my Volvo HDT. Converted to a single axle and put a flatbed on to make it easy to haul gooseneck trailers just like a pickup. Great condition. It's very comfortable and easy to drive. 720k miles Volvo D12 465hp motor 12 speed ZF Freedomline automatic transmission 80% tread left on the tires...
I am strongly considering full time, done some research and worked out the financial side.I will not be doing a lot of travel, at least initially, so will be parked in the same area for long stretches. Other than the obvious options for finding a place to park a Class A motorhome, has anyone come up wi...
The more I look, the more options I come up with. Initially we were of a mind that a 5er was the way to go for us. I wanted to maximize our living and storage space, but the units that interested us were all behemoths, and I wanted to keep the overall footprint somewhere between 32' & 34'. So I decided aga...
I just read on another thread that Lucky Mike has left the forum. How tragic!! I am not clear what precipitated his leaving but I sense he has become disgusted with judgemental commentary. Mike is a major reason we joined this forum. He has his head screwed on straight and has been inspirational with h...
I hate going to stores. Hate spending a lot of time and gas, going from place to place, only to discover that they're out of whatever it is that I wanted to buy, ("We just sold the last one!") don't have the size / color I was looking for, or never stocked the item to begin with. This is why I do the v...

Apologies to my Facebook friends as I already posted this there. Today I was in the Court House in Rapid City, SD, after getting our vehicles registered and earlier in the day getting my SD Drivers License. I was waiting for my ride near the Security guys checking everyone coming into the Court House. A...
We have been living in our 1198 Jayco 32' Class C for nearly a year and all has gone well. BUT, we have one nagging issue that is going to get bigger as the temps warm up. The air conditioner works and blows very cold air, but only down through the rear vents and not so much out to the front vents. We took of t...
Are we abnormal?? 6 months FT and we are finally back into a routine, starting to bookmark and earmark recipes to try, etc. Why did it take us so long? Unexpected maintenance, detours to establish domicile, detour to take care of a truck upgrade that resulted in being caught in the flooding in Colo...

RV-Dreams was one of the first websites we visited about the RV lifestyle. Thanks to them we ventured out with a 2005 Chinook 2100. Now we have the house up for sale and are in the process of trading in the Chinook and buying a Tiffin Phaeton 36QSH about to be full timers. A year or so ago we had the privile...

We made it until this morning without freezing up. Hubby went out to drain tanks and found he had left a valve open. Blocked everything from draining. Thankfully a man in our park has a 55,000 btu torpedo style heater, another had a couple of sheets of styrofoam insulation and in an hour all was flowing...

I've had several GPS all Garmin's and always been happy with them, of course sometime there might be some glinch put it's still a good tool. At this present time I'm just looking but I intend to purchase another one for the motorhome. I've been reading and watching several videos about two GPS model...
