Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Okay, this poll question is from Cindi, and I thought is was interesting enough that everybody might find this collection of first trips interesting... After you acquired the rig, outfitted it, purged your S&B or other place of residence, and otherwise eliminiated all previous material tie...
OK, I think enough of have benefited from Cherie and Chris' knowledge, willingness to share, etc. that we owe them a huge THANKS!! Not sure what is going on with them today, saw a couple of Facebook posts that indicate someone out there is being extremely critical and mean spirited. They need a virtu...

( i did flea markets and yard sales) I have some i...
When we first picked up the 5'er I was amazed with the amount of space in comparison with the TT. Now three weeks later starting to get a bit concerned. We purged before but now with painting the house and the upcoming rally we are starting to move things into their new home and the space is filling up qui...

Today we had new vinyl flooring installed, and the old carpeting removed! What a huge difference! We have been living in our rv in the backyard of the house we rent since we gave our house furniture to a deserving young family at the end of march. We have another month on our lease so we are living in the bou...
Greetings, The DW and I are shopping for our first MH to go FTing. We're making the big leap from no camper to full time in one giant step - and we know it's gonna' work out fine. We were set on buying a used Tiffin, either a 40' Phaeton ('10 - '11) or a 40' Allegro Bus ('08 - '09). We had heard lots of good thing...
We just bought a HR Presidential Jefferson 363re. It has an area for a generator with the dimensions approximately 33x17x26deep. We have a diesel truck and propane on the 5er. We need advice on what type generator to purchase as we will be doing a lot of boondocking. We are willing to have a gas/too...
I'm doing a bit of inspirational daydreaming today, and being a beach gal at heart, I can totally see myself spending lots of time on the coast. Just wondering what beach towns you've visited and found to be the most (and least!) RV friendly. Thanks!
Hi All, Good idea from Cheryl to start a new thread. Thanks to Greg & Cori/BySeaandbyLand to offer to host. You mentioned 3pm on Tues? The first gathering of the rally is from 2 - 5p, so maybe we could have a mini get-together of the "graduates" before that, maybe at 1p? I'm really look...
Wow, things are moving quickly now! We bought our 5er last week and now we have our new truck. It's a 2013 Dodge 3500HD Laramie Longhorn Dually. The house/ranch goes on the market in May, and as soon as that sells, We are OUTTA HERE!
As we sit here in Tucson for our final week in AZ until next winter, I'm thinking of all the things I'm not missing this spring in the Pacific NW. No mowing No weeding No moss killing (yes in Western WA you have to kill off the moss each spring or it kills your yard) No power washing the driveway No power washi...
We've had numerous issues with our Dometic 1320 4 door fridge. Our trailer is a 2010 unit that we purchased just over a year ago. The cooling unit had already been replaced once on this fridge, since then we've replaced the circuit board, the cooling unit again, added fans, changed out the thermisto...
I've been keeping a running list of all the things I have learned from reading people's posts and Howard's journal, and I thought I would throw it open to ask if you could go back to your former self and tell them three things...what would they be. They can be anything camping related ..not just full-ti...
First let me say we LOVE living in our rv. But we are thinking of down the road in five or ten years and our exit plan. I've been doing some research and have learned that there are places which have a lost cost of living and good health care, the two most important things on our list. I'd also like a temperate...
We finally have a date to leave on our fulltiming adventure. My daughter put a deposit down on an apartment and she will be moving out on her own on July 1. We have went about our preparations in a slightly different way than most. We sold the house and moved to an apartment last year waiting to retire, whi...
We have the house on the market with three showing scheduled for the weekend (my fingers and toes will be crossed) just waiting on an offer to come. We did a major de-cluttering, fresh paint, upgraded countertops, power washed outside, etc before listing and the house is showing well - but our neighbo...
Ok so here is the question what in anyone's opinion is the best type of rv for traveling with a newborn? Your thoughts and opinions are needed and welcome. I currently have a 36ft fifth wheel and I feel that it is fit for us just not an infant. I am planning on purchasing a different rv and was thinking a c...
Ok, while looking up state parks and public campgrounds (particularly in NY and NJ), some of the parks have a rate listed for "RV" and another rate for "trailer". IF an RV is either a motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer, what are the parks considering to be a trailer?
a heartfelt thank you to all of you wonderfully helpful folks on the .forum. we have been soaking up information and help for quite some time now. We have our rig, sold the house, a pull behind camper and a truck all over a period of about two months. Kind of overwhelming! we will be going fulltime arou...
We just bought our new 2013 Montana 3582! Yeah! We pick it up either just before or just after the Spring Rally! If it looks like we're able to get it before and we can change our flight, we'll try to change our cabin in for a campsite. Now we just need to buy the truck and sell the ranch!
Someone asked why I hadn't been around much and why I hadn't posted more about what's going on and I figured it was time to fill in the gaps. I'm still down in Mission, Texas working in Sales at Retama Village. I'm really enjoying it. I wish I was on the road more, but for right now finances just don't wor...
From my techno-geek husband, about the hack you've probably been hearing about on the news..... OK: I am keeping this non-technical. The Bottom line is that a key program used by EVERYONE (google/microsoft/yahoo), etc.. got hacked. and they JUST discovered it after 2 YEARS!!! * What to do: Tod...
Our FT dream starts in less than 2 months!! I will continue to work my computer job from the road. I currently use 2 20" monitors side by side. I am trying to figure out my work corner in the Montana 3402RL.. We are probably going to remove the kitchen table and chairs to make room. But what to do wit...

My husband and I are doing our research and this site is fantastic - filled with so much information. Many of our questions are already answered here and we're getting others together...
