Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are looking for someone that can make a wooden or metal sign about 2 or 3 foot wide. We would like a horse watering trough with a bear sitting in it wearing a sailor hat, also Welcome to Rancho Relaxo. I'm sure we have some very talented Dreamers out there. If anyone is interested you can PM us, just be...
I'm traveling about 2 hours per campground .. stay a month at a time.. already noticed most places check in is like noon ish.. I've always liked avoiding traffic and drove long distances at night.. being 2 hours away.. night time driving isn't needed.. But what time of day do people move the big rigs? ...
I recently started reading Cheryl's blog (great by the way) & realized they were only about 10 miles from our home. So, of course we had to get together. We had a very nice time yesterday having lunch & talking. Cheryl & Mitch are wonderful people & so friendly! Their rig is beautifu...
Hey all.......what an eventful summer!! I've been following since we attended the Rally in April, but now we are starting to head in the right direction too. We purchased a new truck in May to tow our new future home.......and last Saturday we parked her in our driveway. We purchased a 36 foot Gr...
First of all, let me say that I am technically Challenged to say the least. And I don't even know if it possible, but I would like to be able to enlarge some of the Avitar pics. Some are very difficult to see or even make out who or what is in the pic. Can somebody help me with this problem or is it just (my) probl...
Please add your favorite websites that you think would be helpful to newbies and veteran FTF's ~>I am sure this may have been done already, but I thought in case it hasn't or it's been awhile, I would start another one ;) I'll start! Besides this forum, here are a few sites that I have found, that I th...
This thread documents the build of our 2015 New Horizons custom 5th wheel. Many people have asked about it, so I started this thread...I'll put data/info on the website, but the pictures really tell the story. There are comments on the pictures so be sure to view them that way. Picture link at bottom of...
For those of you that use diesel fuel (the low flow pumps), do you generally find the best prices at truck stops or regular convenience store fuel pumps? Thanks!

Does anyone know if I can put an 18 cu residential refrigerator (like those offered in the Jayco Pinnacle or the DRV Tradtion) in the Grand Design Solitude? Thanks for your answers and advice.
Just got done doing a forum search for "water pressure regulators" and found a little bit on the topic but most of it is now 5 years old or so. We're in the market for a new water pressure regulator to replace the old brass Camping World model we got years ago. It has a set pressure of something...
More ramblings from the depths of my marginal brain. Or "How do I plan for and think about bad things that could happen while traveling down the road." 15 months ago we started our traveling life style with only slight hesitations about what was ahead in the great unknown. Being the plann...

As we hopefully get closer to buying, after the house sells, I can see while we are semi- on the same page, we may not be on the exact same page. Was just wondering if anyone else ran into this "bump" along the road to choosing their rig. This is common for us and, of course, mine is the best choi...
First it was Target then Home Depot; now Kmart customers accounts getting hacked! I got the Home Depot hacking; but one of my bank accounts immediatly put a hold om my debit card; as I use it as a credit card when purchasing at POS terminals. It took about 10 days to get reissued a new card. The only hass...
Or lack there of... I'm noticing a trend this year in the RV Resort we stay in during the summer months. Smaller RVs. It seems up until last year the trend was toward big RVs. 5th wheels, Toyhaulers, MHs, Buses, and even the Class Cs bigger were pulling into the resort for the past several years. This ye...
Hello, my name is Allen. I introduced myself back in December 2012when I first discovered the fulltime RV option as a lifestyle. I have followed Howard & Linda's blog off and on since then. Back in 2012 I thought I would have to work until I was 70. Since then I purchased a used gas class A, retired, st...
I just installed two renology 250 watt panels on my TT with a TS-60 charge controller, I ran 10 guage wire for about 5ft from each solar panel then connected both panels together and ran 6 guage from roof to charge controller. The first two days of use the best reading the charge controller gave me was 1...
We just purchased a new Bighorn 5th wheel and the only thing (so far) that I have found that's a problem is that there is no AC outlet on the wall above the kitchen counter...you know...where you would usually plug in a coffee pot or crock pot etc. Is this a DIY project to add an outlet or do we need to have it...
Hi there forum members! We started on the road full time this past summer. The empty nest kept getting bigger and emptier (is that a word?) and the time was right. Our five kids and the 5 soon to be 6 grandkids have managed to spread themselves out from Virginia Beach to Seattle and in between. In order to v...
We have DISH Network in our home, and the old original antennas in our '99 39Z Bounder. We are heading south soon for the winter, and I'd like to have the same DISH channels in the motorhome. We also want to be able to watch different shows at the same time on the rear and front TV's (my wife is not a big sp...
I'm getting 2 to 3 bars (signal) 4G LTE without the Wilson Sleek and 4 to 5 bars with it and can't get internet through it. My computer sees it, connects and can't get past the identifying part. Any clues? Need some help, Red
We are moving to Amite, Louisiana.
There is a campground there, Natalbany Creek. It looks nice, but you know how that goes.
*eye roll*
By chance, has anyone been there? Not much luck finding reviews, and have hit most of the park review sites.
Thanks! Mary
Hi folks! It's been a while since I posted here, but we are still working toward our RV dreams. I'm wondering what Class C models any of you would recommend? Our needs are to sleep 3-4 people, and I prefer the entry door to be just behind the cab with a kitchen first layout, but that's not an absolute must. W...
Yesterday morning I was leaving Briarcliffe RV Park in North Myrtle Beach. After pulling out of my site I pulled over on one of the main roads at the back of the park to hook up my toad. After hooking up, a motor home pulled up behind me and there wasn't quite enough room for him to get by, so I started walking...
